Yahoo: Paul keeps white supremacist donation

Yeah they're desparate

Ron's heroes are Ghandi and MLK.. Don't give this jerk the time of day. He's trying to use us to raise hits to his article. Yahoo is responsible for the deaths of the freedom fighters in China. They ratted people out. Google didn't stoop to this level.

I just read this article. I will not be voting for Dr. Paul anymore. LOL!

What a dumb thing. They can't throw dirt on his name so they try and come after the supporters and grassroots.

This is baby stuff!

If you are white, you will not care about this but to some avg non-white person this is big news. So don't just assume that the world thinks like you. If that avg non-white person is walking down the street and notices the news on the front page of the newspaper, its enough for them to not vote for Dr. Paul. Again most people don't have time for news and politics, they will make decision on what they see on TV / RADIO / ADS

THIS IS NOT BABY STUFF. THIS NEWS NEEDS TO BE BURIED RIGHT AWAY or HANDLED WITH CARE

Edited: I would love for him to give it back, but don't want Mr. Black to have it for his causes... This headline is not good for RP... :( RP just wants to end the war with it.

i don't understand why is this in the bad media section. they are accurately reporting on what happened and the campaign's behavior is, in this case, flawless. it is great that dr paul is breaking through disgusting pandering and fake purity.

This was MSM's plan all along... they didn't put his record breaking day on front page because they couldn't wait to find out who donated so they could smear him.

Now if they'd included that in the story, I'd be worried. I mean, white supremacists probably have a better rep than Bush supporters these days!:D

ROFL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! That was a good one..hee hee heee..
Actually, hating the headlines, I absolutely loved Ron's answer (which actually was quoted pretty much verbatim from the answer he gave on John Stossel show). Take the guy's money and put it to better use than he would. Loved it. Think it speaks volumns of good for Dr. Paul. He also said that it is "pandering" to the media if he gave someone the money back because the press told him it was from someone whose ideals were bad. He continued by saying that the guy was supporting HIS (RP's) views, by giving him money--not the other way around. He also said that he was not planning on scrutinizing his donators for what their beliefs were.

Thank you so much for seeing it from my perspective. Thank YOU.

Once again we have people that do not understand the full freedom message- yes I know it is alot to take in but if you keep trying it will become clear. 1st he WIL NOT pander and if he gives this money back then the next group or person someone does not like comes along we have to give that back - I know it is scary but freedom is for all and he does not have to look at the beliefs to find out if it is OK to take money.

2. You are assuming that we have to bury this to "protect" others from hearing this story --once again that is not freedom --that is someone else telling you what information you can have-- I know it is hard to accept the freedom message completly but once you do you will understand that these things are minor and not worth your time and I think you guys are the ones making this a big deal.

I'm an average non-white person, and I think this "news" is overblown and fucking stupid. Some random racist gave Ron Paul $500. Seriously, what does it fucking matter?!

I'd take their money as well if I was running for president and I would send them a thank you card for being stupid enough to do it. Let's worry about more important stuff.

A comment from an unexpected quarter, with which I wholeheartedly agree. This is progressive blogger Duncan Black, aka atrios, from atrios.blogspot.com:

The Stupidest Scandals

I think the stupidest political scandals are the ones which involve "dirty donors" and associated calls to give the money back. Big bundlers and those big supporters who are effectively part of the campaign are one thing, but candidates really shouldn't be asked to respond to or denounce everyone who writes them a check. Given the donation limits for supporters of presidential candidates, no one donor can be especially important so the idea that the candidates are somehow tainted by them is silly.

Yeah, that's about it.

I just want to point out that it was not a "group" that donated. It was a single individual. If Black had bundled donations from Stormfront or the KKK, or made donations on behalf of his site or organization, then no question the money would be returned, as this is a form of lobbying, which Paul has no use for.

Wow, pulling out from Iraq... no amnesty for illegals... sounds like Don Black would make a better president than ALL of the Democrats.

I have inside access to a major radio station. Should I get this talked about on conservative talk radio?

I'm not sure, it depends on how far this has spread already. If they're already talking about it then it makes sense to respond.
