Thanks for posting this. I'm a little concerned that the dropped the other lesser charges but I get it. Why give the jury an out? His fellow officer testifying that he was only concerned by the behavior of Sean Grayson is powerful. The fact that Sonya Massey's life could have been saved but for Sean Grayson telling the other officer not to "waste" his med kit is sickening.

The second story was wild as well. A state trooper shot himself and blamed it on a random black guy all to could claim a medical retirement? Well as @TheTexan points out, I'm glad the officer is okay.

I'm pretty sure the med kits are reserved for emergencies only, like when an Officer gets shot

Well....Good news the killer cop was convicted. But it should have been first degree instead of second degree. He'll get 4 to 20 years.

4 years seems excessive for just killing someone. Can he get out early on good behavior?

Wow. Some people are just brain dead. The true sequence of events:

1) Jackass says "Turn off the boiling water.
2) Sonya Massie complies.
3) Sonya Massie says "I rebuke you in the name of Jesus.
4) Jackass pulls out gun and threatens to kill her.
5) Sonya massey drops to the floor.
6) Jackass moves towards SM.
7) SM throws water in self defense and Jackass shoots her.

I saw a news report which claims that he could be sentenced to as little as just probation.

Not what I want, but I'm guessing that the fix is in and that the sentence will be less than 4 years with a magical unannounced release much, much earlier than that.

It will be crazy if he gets less time than Derick Chauvin. But that seems guaranteed at this point.
