If Carson does poorly in Iowa as expected, will he drop out or stick it through a bit longer?

No of course he won't. Carson is in it for the money, not to be potus. He'll stay in long enough to build his brand as high as he can get it to command better speaking fees and sell more books.

Do people even think he's still in the race?? The blackout on him makes rands look like nothing but I guess it's not as much of a blackout as there is is just no story to be told about him except he is done

He won't drop out for a while, but he will stop campaigning.

I agree, the MSM has been deflating him for the last three months and made a point of spreading Trump's stories about his supposed lying far and wide. But Carson's blackout, unlike Rand's, has the just outcome of denying coverage to a man utterly unfit for the presidency.

I think he's going to underperform, meaning he'll get less of a percentage in Iowa than he's currently polling. Hopefully Rand has a plan to get his endorsement. I think that would be a big help and a compelling argument that Rand is the true candidate in which conservatives can unite. If Cruz and Trump keep going after each other, this could be a perfect setup. You have to assume that Carson knows the Cruz campaign was largely behind his demise in Iowa with the Evangelicals so there might be some bad blood there. I can't see him endorsing Trump. In the past he's said that he likes Rand, and they are both doctors after all.

I think that he's in until after SC.

Lots of holy warmongers down there.

Once he tanks, he will endorse Bush or Rube.

Carson not getting a high finish in IA will be a body blow to his campaign, given he had peaked when he was second nationally and led in IA just three months ago. Bur he may do as well as 3rd or 4th next week due to residual loyalty he may still have from evangelicals in Iowa.

He has so low energy that even if he drops out nobody would care anyway.

its only 1 week after Iowa. I'm sure he can float his campaign a little longer hoping for a miracle.
