Today's my birthday, but that has little to do with this post. I'm getting older and maybe it's given me a chance to reflect a bit.
I know it's early, but there are so many good things that are happening. I was (and still am) very critical of Donald Trump, but he seems to be riding the wave that brought him into power.
So far, there are just "pauses" in spending, but it looks like they are gearing up for the real fight: Challenging the Impoundment Controls Act at the SCOTUS or even using the Congress to repeal it.
Although the numbers are small so far, we are seeing some tougher border controls and deportations. Most importantly, we're seeing a cut to the NGO's that were set up to lure them here and use them as slaves.
Again, still early, but the trajectory on the wars is that they're coming to a close.
The J6 political prisoners are free and so is Ross Ulbricht. I hope Snowden gets a call.
I'm hearing word that the cabinet nominees are planning on releasing tons of information documenting the past governments' misdeeds. So much so, that it'll make the Twitter Files look like a drop in an ocean.
DEI and all the woke shit has finally jumped the shark. They can no longer shame people for criticizing it. They've lost the moral high ground that they never really had to begin with.
But the best thing of all is that the gaslighting is dead. The corporate press has lost the ability to do it. The politicians that try to continue it will continue to lose their seats. "Biden is sharp as a tack", "Covid was an emergency", "There was no coup", "Boys can be girls", "We need to fund wars"... The internet is defeating all the narratives.
America may actually be turning a corner. I'm not so sure we have Donald Trump to thank or the fact that he recognized the moment, but whatever it is, it's glorious so far! It may all go south real quick, but for now, I'm actually hopeful that the country I'm leaving my grandchildren will be better than the one I inherited.
So keep up the pressure! Stop the spending, turn our swords into plowshares, get rid of the debt, and be good to our neighbors!
