Slapping a name on an idea and sticking to that idea no matter what is never a good idea. ie: non-interventionism, pro-war, etc.
Georgia attacked Russia...
Its none of our business.
That's debatable.
Some could argue Georgia was justified since Russia was interfering in their country.
No, it's not debatable. Georgia invaded South Ossetia first. That is not debatable.
South Ossetia is made up mostly of people with Russian passports. 95%+ of the citizens of South Ossetia want nothing to do with Georgia. South Ossetia has it's own government. Georgia bombed South Ossetia and targeted civilians, schools and hospitals.. FIRST. BEFORE RUSSIA DID ANYTHING.
Russia claims they were on a peacekeeping mission. Did they go too far? I don't know. They are backing off now.
Russia is full of communists and collectivists. Russia is retarded.
So? That isn't the issue. You are distracting from the real issue by making these statements. The issue is that Georgia invade South Ossetia first and targeted residential areas. Everything that Russia did was in response to said bombing.
Uh, it is debatable. South Ossetia is within the borders of Georgia. It's been a part of Georgia for centuries. Russia giving Ossetians passports isn't a good reason for many can view that as Russian interference.
No, South Ossetia has had it's own government for a decade now. Georgia claims it only because they are backed and bought off by NATO, who wants the land to control oil pipelines.
Not really. Russia has been interfering in Georgia's affairs for a very long time. It was inevitable that something like this would happen.
That doesn't mean it is ok to bomb civilians, schools and hospitals and break a cease fire because you are having a hissy fit over the people in a "break-away" region not wanting anything to do with your country.
