I was aware of the LP.
In 2004, this is the way the LP was presenting itself:
"We don't push for abortions but we're A-OK with them, and we're anti government but we're going to use as case examples the USCG and other agencies which have a measurable benefit to society instead of the totally asinine ones."

Had it not been for the debates, my first vote ever would have been for Kerry, but then I decided to just not vote. I didn't have internet at that time, so I didn't know about anyone else.

Though, also, that's when I started noticing some very peculiar behaviors in both parties that "really" seemed to purposefully compromise their candidacy to favor the other candidate...At least that's the way I felt in both 2004 and 2008. It felt odd, very very odd the way McCain and Kerry's campaign went.

This is my view as well. I used to not believe in voting. Tom Woods actually changed my mind.

Ive been saying this forever as a former.

They need to be educated on the cause of wars/history and the sinister reasoning behind them.

The neocon crowd needs to be targeted. Many dont even know theyre neocons. They see themselves as "patriots" because they believe what Fox news and Rush Limbaugh tells them. This is how the (re)takeover of the Republican party is going to happen.

I found myself looking up arguments FOR the war just to defend George Bush. I came across Ron Paul from youtube videos during summer of 2008. I still voted for McCain and I regret it everyday. Since then I have unlatched myself from the clutches of rank and file voting, and found adventure and truth amidst independent thinking.

1988 - Abstained. At sea. (Should have voted Paul, IIRC the LP wasn't on the NJ ballot. ?)

1992 - Wrote in Pat Buchanan absentee.

1996 - Wrote in Pat Buchanan absentee.

2000 - W (God help me for that. I must have been drunk and on drugs.)

2004 - Badnarik absentee.

2008 - Wrote in Paul absentee.

2012 - Will write in Paul, regardless of what happens.
