What you guys arent getting:

Just like I said in my very first Ron Paul video long ago, as soon as the real campaign begins (after he drops out of the republican party), thats when we bring out the big guns.

The republican party, and the partisan system as a whole, is an enemy of the American People and prevents democracy from happening. People are sick of partisan politics. This is about the message and about the movement, not about some pony show that we call the presidential elections.

Once you wake up, you can never go back to sleep. So ya see, we don't die, we multiply. And the establishment resisting us is futile. Freedom Will Prevail.

You are so very right in that statement "Once you wake up, you can't go back to sleep". An entire generation of Americans has awaken to the concept of liberty, mainstream media, politics, and the constitution.

But I'm in it to win it.

Sorry to say, but Nevada is also Mormon country...
...
so I don't understand the thread....just galvanizing people was the motive???....wow.....look I dont see people voting for him on Feb 5th if he doesnt even make top 3 in any of the early states.......I guess I am the only guy who is MAD......ughhhhhh

Even beyond this campaign the Ron Paul message and teh modern libertarian movement have been chipping away at this for over 30 years. This is a long term fight that goes beyond this one presidential campaign. Those of us who have voted Libertarian Party for years and years know what I am talking about. What Ron Paul HAS done is energize and galvanize this movement into somethng that cannot be written off ever again! RP will continue on in this race and will at the very least take this all the way to the floor of the convention and change teh discourse within the Republican Party forever.

+1,000,000!

Perfect! Mormons have a high and divine respect for the Constitution! We should be working for 15% in Nevada! Not to mention the very libertarian views of places like Las Vegas and Nevada in general, with gambling and legalized prostitution, we could easily show strength in Nevada.

Michigan has been getting hit hard with the economy, we should be pointing out how Ron Paul has the best plan for the economy.

South Carolina has historically been a free-loving state. Bring them back to their roots, remind them of what they stood for in the time just before the Civil War. They stood for freedom and State's rights. They had very few slaves, but they essentially led the Civil War because for them, it wasnt about slavery, it was about their rights.

See, a lot of people looked at New Hampshire and said "thats our state! Thats the state that has the best reason to love Ron Paul!"

But you're forgetting...Ron Paul's message isnt designed for New Hampshire, it is designed for ALL OF AMERICA! We can capitalize on Paul's positions in every state in the country. We just need people looking up and not down! This movement shouldnt die at the first half a percent! It's pathetic to even CONSIDER that we have lost yet!

Historically, in the past few decades at least, it was easy to switch candidates. There was no such thing as a Ron Paul running for president, except for his little known run in '88 where no one would even consider voting other than Repub or Dem. But here, we have an opportunity for real change, not the fake change that Obama and Romney propose. I call out anyone who questions our ability to continue this movement as strong as we have a coward!

See,we're looking at everything from the inside. From the outside, everyone thought we werea no chance candidate like Tancredo or Hunter, or even Dodd and Kucinich, and was going to get less than a percent and drop out after a could primaries/caucuses. Yet, we're getting votes above or right along with guys like McCain, Thompson, Giuliani, etc, depending on the state.

Now, us on the inside here had hopes for 1st or second place, but this was entirely unrealistic. Its almost an exact opposite of what everyone on the outside expected us to do. We're sitting here, right in the middle. Not enough to be on top,but most DEFINITELY not enough to be considered a "no chance" candidate or to the point of dropping out. We may not be on top right now, but it is not that easy.

We ARE, however, a threat. We've been creeping up constantly for months. Only about a month or so ago, we were barely registering in ANY polls, getting at the most 1%. NOW we are polling at 8-10% and we are constantly increasing.

Again, those of you that though we had a chance of all of a sudden winning everything from the very beginning, you got a reality check just like in Iowa, and its about time you guys did. This isnt going to be a walk in the park, no one is going to hand this to us. We can work 10X harder than everyone else, but we arent gonna get some bullshit sudden Huckabee boost. We gotta stick with this. We arents on a downward trend, we're constantly creeping up.

It makes no sense to jump ship now. To everyone else on the outside, this is very impressive. We have proven that we are no Gravel, or Hunter, or Kucinich. We are in this and they better take us seriously. There has only been a couple primaries, and while we havent won any, we havent "lost" any. Keep it up, because we still have a chance. The founders wouldnt have given up this easily, I can promise you that.

This is the best post I have read today. Ron Paul's message is so different from what people have been getting from the current administration and the mainstream media that it takes time for people to get it.

I once read somewhere that the average person has to hear something 30 times before it sinks in. The fact that the other candidates are starting to sound like RP means the ideas are making some headway. There is still a long way to go.

The campaign says it needs $23 million. Is there a plan to get it? Sounds like about 3 tea parties are needed between now and Feb 5th. I am up for it. Anyone else?

30 years? Let's make it 100! ;)

That's right. Let's take it to them in Michigan and Nevada, and turn this thing around.

great post, very true. we have made excellent progress and there is no reason to stop now. iowa and new hampshire are relatively small and it's still really early.

bump

The GOP will start paying us some mind. The Hacks out there won't, but the GOP will start realizing they are not going to win without our diehard voters in November.

One nice factoid from the network coverage today: Bill Clinton lost the first six contests of the 1992 primary race before winning for the first time. Given this race remains wide open with no GOP frontrunner (Romney is neutralized, but able to win next week in Michigan and neutralize McCain), Paul still has time to break through before Super Tuesday. Hang in there, everyone!

No jumping ship!! Who knows what are behind the 'lower than expected' numbers in New Hampshire (I'll avoid speculation). But, I'm not sure it matters compared to staying motivated and spreading the message, one that wins hearts and minds daily!

MooCowzRock's point, if I may add to it, is that there are many many people who hear a constant barrage from radio/tv designed to make the uninformed afraid and unsure (basic FUD tactics). Don't get too angry at them, people vigorously defend their fear, you can easily become the enemy, and that's precisely what the MSM wants.

It's up to us to keep this beautiful inertia moving forward, for every day we stay with it, it's one more day those on the "outside" feel more confident Ron Paul is here to stay.

oh, sorry I was looking for the pessimistic thread. I don't know how I ended up here in the optimistic thread.
