This isn't what I imagined in 2007 but I will take it!

When we started our R3VOLUTION back in 2007 I never imaged we would see changes like this. I can't imagine finding a politician that I agree with and respect more than Ron Paul. I also can't imagine a Ron Paul administration disrupting the DC system more than what I am seeing now.

This monster that is our federal government is so huge and so corrupt that it seems the task of cleaning it up is a fools errand. Now thanks to the foolish short-sighted cheating of Democrats, the 2nd Trump term in 2024 will be much more effective than had it been in 2020.

Congrats Democrat commies, you played yourselves.

Ron Paul taught us that the path to liberty goes through the Republican party, whether we like it or not. It is an imperfect tool, but the best tool we have.

Every person that Trump is placing in this new administration is disrupting the system. People like RFK, Vivek, Tulsi and Elon are far outside of the Republican norm. This is the best chance for libertarians to have an effect at the highest level. This administration is our ally and it doesn't matter if we don't agree 100%.

Thomas Massie is now widely praised. We are winning. This isn't what I imagined in 2007 but I will take it!

Both thumbs up! I’m happy so far. Definitely never going to be perfect but to hear the president saying he is going to dismantle the Dept of Education is literally something just a year ago I considered to be a pipe dream. Needs the it’s happening gif.

there is a cautionary word about DONALD JOHN TRUMP. he has this habit of drawing people
to him, coaxing things out of them, and then turning on them, like on a dime. i am assuming
he is actually listening to DOCTOR RON PAUL & is not just toying with a few of his ideas like the
way we seemed to be going REFORM PARTY at one point, as if he could be the next ROSS PEROT!

My black pill tells me that commenting on the new administration to a greater extent will buzzkill those still riding the Trump endorphin.

I know where we are going and I won't spoil it for some of you.

Not yet, anyway.

I don't think any of us know where we are going. This is uncharted territory.

We all know that Trump isn't a libertarian. I am sure there will be things we like and things we don't like.

The biggest win here so far is that we have people accepting the idea of eliminating eliminating federal departments.

2012 Ron Paul:
Along with the Departments of Energy and Education, Paul also proposes eliminating the Departments of Housing and Urban Development, Commerce, and Interior. Paul would also abolish the Transportation Security Administration, leaving security at airports and other transportation systems up to the private sector.

These ideas were considered absurd just 12 years ago. Now they are seriously considered by the mass of Republican voters. Winning!

I really hate to say this but this is the best we can get with half the voting population voting for handouts. Voting doesn't matter when half the people don't pay taxes but get a say in how taxes are spent. Ron Paul will never get elected the way the electorate is. I also hate to say this, but as heavily ingrained as the deep state is, I don't think Ron Paul would stand a chance against it even if he was elected.

There's a really good chance that Trump will screw it all up, but I have become quite cynical and stoic about the way things are going. However I am not going to dwell in negativity. I suggest keeping your hopes alive, but also prepare for a complete economic collapse. We're basically a long for the ride. Might as well enjoy it as much as we can.

I kept my expectations very low, so anything above that is a win, afaic.

Homan as border "czar", pretty much satisfies item number one on my list of five.

DJT if you read these forums put me on your staff

Send me a PM and we'll work out the details

In June of '82 I imagined this would happen. Then in the Spring of 1987 I stone cold predicted it would go down exactly like it is right now.

Homan making the heads of liberals explode is alone worth the price of admission.

My response in another thread:

Ron Paul is all about outreach and education and it’s wonderful that his name is being promoted.

But, my concern is, these just turned over night “libertarians” are quick talking billionaire technocrats who I don’t trust one bit.

Ron has stated during conversations that he doesn’t know anything about digital technology or crypto. If his name is used by these technocrats while they are rolling out nefarious implementations, it could potentially drive a spike into everything Austrian and the true meaning of capitalism.

I hope that Ron will consider having folks who understand such technologies who are actually on our side advising him along the way.

When the first military bases start closing overseas
When Rubio gets up on stage and says we are not sending any money to Ukraine and Israel
When the DOE and other Federal Departments start closing their doors
When I start seeing state secrets being exposed by Trumps cabinet politicians and not wikileaks

then I will start to believe it's happening.

A lesson I've only learned later in life: "The perfect is the enemy of the good." That has nothing to do with compromise. It has to do with adapting and overcoming every obstacle, even when the world does not conform to your "expectations", which is basically 100% of the time...

It's not bad. None of this would have been my first choice, but I know the country will be fine. I voted for it.

Funny how the TDS sufferers flipped their views on Trump. Better late than never. But the disaster of Biden and Harris greatly helped. Even the Deep State saw how destructive seniles or idiots can be to their country. Trump ain't either.

For the record, I was one of the first to come back on this forum in August 2016 just because I knew Trump had the balls to take on the Deep State and the lying media which destroyed Ron Paul. Looking back at the lawfare and the cheating and everything.. Trump is lucky to be alive after a bullet nicked his ear.

If you're interested in hearing reasons instead of applying inapplicable terms, I'll tell you.
I voted for him for two reasons.
1) Trump admitted several times he's impressionable and blamed that for most of the failed promises the first time around.
2) In the last 6 months everyone around Trump has been agitating for something that I actually advocate.

The fact that his agenda is basically being driven by other people again is not really an endorsement of Trump as a person.

I'm under no illusions about Trump and neither is anyone here. I don't think a single person on this site voted for him because of a true belief in Trump. (Well, Sword Swallower did.) We all did it because he put together a coalition that has some serious pressure to get some things done that will change the landscape in this country in ways we didn't think possible.

I agree with the OP sentiment. We all thought all we had to do was keep preaching and people would see the light. The idea of putting together a group of popular people each of whom supports one or two issues that we agree on, and all of whom support getting out of foreign entanglements, resulting in a 60%+ overlap with Ron's 2007 message - that wasn't on anyone's bingo card.
