The riff at the 5:30 mark is just magical.
That's the ticket!

Nice. I think I have that disc buried somewhere.
How about more traditional?
Speaking of Dubliners...
Fifty thousand men were sent to do the will of one
His claim was phrased quite simply
Though He never voiced it loud
I am He, the chosen one
In His name they could slaughter
For His name they could die
Though many there were believed in Him
Still more were sure He lied
But they'll fight the battle on
I dedicate this to Obama...

Oh, damn! I am a HUGE fan of classic, pre-pop Genesis (especially their Steve-Hackett-era stuff).
I am absolutely kicking myself for not thinking of making this exact post in this exact context ...
(RPFs is broken! I can't rep you for this more than once.)

You know, I used to hate Genesis and Phil Collins, because I grew up on MTV and thought their only claim to fame was Invisible Touch and Sussudio, respectively. But man...getting into their progressive era over the last year has been an absolute revelation. So much so that I don't even dislike their poppier stuff as much anymore just because I know what they're really all about. Wind and Wuthering is amazing, as is The Lamb Lies Down on Broadway...but I've been known to spin Duke and Abacab every once in a while, when I'm home alone and there's no one to judge me.![]()
