well, it's over...

My MIL voted RP in Liberty county. According to the results at politico.com, she was 1 of 3.

I've got the PDF with the results by precinct for my county.

The precinct I was at got the largest number of RP voters (55?). The ones my husband was at and another up north that our other meetup leader was at had the highest percentages... something like 34 votes at my husbands.

I need to check into one that's showing almost no turnout and no votes for RP that I'm almost positive SOMEONE had to have voted for him at (I thought some of our supporters lived in that precinct.... they'll be getting calls).

hey don't get too down. Florida may come through afterall. goto Ronpaul2008.com Ron left a message that we may be picking up delegates in Florida. i don't know how that works but it seems like great news!

its all about the delegates folks

Florida has two of the biggest things against us:

Big turnout
old people

Amen. When I went to vote, the entire place was being maintained by old people, people like old enough they have one foot in the grave. The old lady I had to check in with, looked thru the book, found my name, and looked up at my with this look of disgust and said "youre a registered Republican?" like she just couldnt believe we existed. I said "hell yes I am, like anyone in their right mind would register as a Democrat? Hell their votes dont even count today, so my guess is, everyone here is a Republican. Why would you go out to vote, when your vote counts as nothing." Man she was pissed. Gave my my wonderfully pre-programmed to fail Diebold crad so I could go vote.

LMAO : )

And not just the people maintaining the place but I voted early not one person younger than me there, I'm 42.

My sister voted yesterday, she tells me there were a lot of Independents showing up who were first shocked they couldn't vote, then pissed.

I'm glad my county (Brevard) had one of the highest turnouts for Paul : )

Ok, well at the one precinct that says there were no votes for Paul, we've confirmed at least 5 people did (that we personally know of). But, it also says that only 16 people voted at that precinct... my guy who was out there all afternoon says there were more like 200, so... apparently the count isn't finished there for some reason.

I also have an issue we want to work out that happened at my precinct (no clue why the guy didn't come out and tell me what happened)... but it involves being forced to file a provisional ballot and we're questioning why. The guy who made him do it is on the REC with me... he hassles me a lot, but doesn't seem like someone who would deliberately do that... so I'm going to get to the bottom of it.

We have a lot of retirees in Bay County. I saw a sea of elderly SS recipients filing in to vote, and I spent hours at the polls. Very few young people.

Never bank on youth to power your revolution... the geriatric revolution will kick your ass! Lesson learned!

You could be right. They've never affected the way I voted.

Me neither. But nevertheless, we are gathering our signs up to be recycled in Alabama for their primary next week... when they are through, they will be sending them up to Ohio. Hey, at least we recycle!

Aren't you from Okaloosa County? Could I get the PDF as well?

Here's what's really strange to me. The polls don't lie, right?

About 70% of Americans are supposedly against the war and when the Dream Act was proposed by congress, people burned up the phone lines, email and faxes saying NO!

And yet they vote for juan mcwar and hormonal hillary?????

That just assaults my sense of logic and common sense. Big Time.

No, I'm in Walton county. I'm sure Okaloosa probably has something published as well (I need to check it because I was semi in-charge of handling some Destin stuff as well). Just google the county supervisor of elections office and poke around until you find the results for the 2008 Presidential preference primary.

Beachmaster...

Would you be willing to meet me in PCB or something to take our leftover materials up to Alabama too? I haven't talked to Mike from Dothan yet (I intend to), but I told them I would give them our stuff. We've talked about going up there to bring it to them and also helping them disseminate some of it, but I just realized everyone took their only two days off for this week already and we've spent a TON of gas money canvassing and putting out signs.

Anyways, if we could combine the effort to get the stuff up there it might help. We're pulling up our signs in Walton right now. And I have a ton of slim-jims left (God knows how much those are needed everywhere). We didn't get them until the last minute and put out as many as possible, but still have a ton left.

Good work.

It sounds like you did what you needed to.

Many of the people honking and giving you thumbs up could very well have been anti-war Dems.

In order to have converted enough Dems to make a difference every precinct in the state should have first been canvassed months ago.

I have taken political communication course work and worked on campaigns and its top notch TV advertising, carefully crafted communications and canvassing that win elections.

Everyone in the other states needs to stop the sign waving, marching and chanting, clean up and do intelligent canvassing.

I'm out for a pint of Guiness.

We've just gotten back home. We've been at our polling places since 8am.

Honestly, I expected to do a lot better. We were inundated with thumbs up's and people who seemed to be indicating support.

I still want to pull my individual precinct numbers, but so far we have had one of the highest percentages in the state. (Walton County) It's dismal though, sickening actually.

One question though... wondering if anyone noticed this....
About an hour or so ago when our county was reporting 94%, we were beating Rudy by a handful of votes.... I just got home and it's now showing he has hundreds more than us. I find that ridiculous because well... I've never seen a Rudy sign, met a Rudy supporter (except one guy on the fence between him and Huck), it just doesn't seem plausible that he beat us in this county. Seriously. My mom was telling me an hour ago that we had almost 6.7 percent for Paul, now with only 6% more in (that's like one precinct here! there's only 33), we've been bumped down to 5.5ish. Weird.

eta: honestly I don't know whether to cry or puke or both. we're so exhausted, we've done everything possible. I just can't believe this many people have minds made of nothing but mush.

I live in FL and have never met a single person that supports John McCain. There is no question, there is voter fraud in almost every state.
