Is half a million in November worth 4 million in December?

The campaign said once that money in the 2nd and 3rd quarter is ten times the amount of the 4th quarter. So they have the money early and can't have it from the same people again. Many are maxed out, it takes time to motivate, organise and already people have been contacted and asked to give as much as they can in the 3rd quarter push which has taken much from peoples funds.
 
We had a money bomb and end of quarter push before BTO though, we just also really got into BTO.
It's about the excitement level. Had we known yesterday was going to turn out like it did, it would have been a great day for a planned moneybomb - regardless of how much we donated the day before. Perhaps we need to start view these in a different way. Like having moneybombs to capitalize on excitement instead of expecting them to generate excitement. BTO seemed to capitalize, but after it was over, there wasn't much generation done.

Yep. Perry is (apparently) spending $400k a week on ads in Iowa. Ron is spending $0. It's not about big totals on Dec 16th, it's about getting Ron back on the air in a critical state that Perry is going all-in for.

I don't think Perry's numbers are going anywhere regardless of his spending, and I still don't see where the moneybomb NOW is coming from, I'm out of money to donate after 11.11.11 and I'm sure many others are as well. Especially with no promotion with less than 2 weeks before the end of Nov. A push for a moneybomb by then will just be a failure, I'd rather people donate what they can, go to fundraisers, and promote the hell out of Dec.16 and phone from home

that's not the option either.

I don't think 4 million is doable for one, and secondly, we have momentum and we need to act on it now.
 
The Tea Part 12/16 meme might bring in a lot of new contributors, especially with Cain falling and Perry already on his way out.
 
The end of quarter push wouldn't be for the people we need mobilization to reach, I agree we should continue to push that for Dec 16. Dec 16 could even be our next THEMED one, and this could be more of an "OMG! We're off the air in Iowa!!" type funding push. It would be to get those who didn't donate 11.11 because they were discouraged from lack of seeming momentum because the polls give momentum. There will be good and bad polls between now and 12/16, I'm sure. I think we should strike while the opportunity is here, since Ron's campaign asked for more than we delivered. This isn't about glory for us, just about Ron staying on the air and winning.

I don't want to stop any momentum, though. The REAL reason I think the 11.11 money bomb wasn't successful is I think some who really wanted it 11/5 sat on their wallets until they liked a theme better. But now we are off the air, and that is not good imho.

But that is a MONTH from now and that will no longer be the dynamic at that point. I don't know what it will be, but it will be after a month of Perry hosing Iowa, NH and SC with money for ads.

I could be wrong but I don't sense there is much momentum at present outside hardcore supporters and people into politics. It's two polls for two early states and of course the media have been reluctant at best and in the case of some (i.e. Fox) treating it low key.

Ron owns the internet, and the polls have re-energized almost his entire base. Once again, we need to forget the big totals, and concentrate on the fact that it's critical that we keep ads on the air in Iowa right now. The MSM is reluctant to mention him? Then we air ads.

We don't have any money now. We will scrounge up $500k at the end of November and air a few ads. OR we can promote for an entire month like we did with BTO, so everyone knows about it, raise $3-4m, and have plenty of ad buys in the closing stretch. In the meantime, donate if you have it, go to fundraisers, and phone from home

It takes at minimum a month to promote and organize a moneybomb. That is the reality of the situation. It takes time to target new donors. If the campaign needs money, they better start getting creative. You people asking the impossible isn't going to make the impossible any less impossible.

Of course it will. You can make an ad buy in much less than 17 days. I don't even think the campaign would go along with another full-fledged moneybomb in November, as they know we're all tapped
 
I posted this in another thread but I'll post here again.

Let's have something like a "10 days for Iowa" end of the month push starting Nov. 20th the goal being to raise $100k a day with the end goal to be $1,000,000 on Nov. 30th.

Call it: Big Ten for Iowa

A Nov. 30th moneybomb.

Regardless though the theme needs to be about Iowa.

Let's get back to ^^^ this guys.

I want it to start as soon as possible, to ride the new enthusiasm. It doesn't have to be a "moneybomb", but there needs to be a ticker up with an Iowa theme.
 
There's not going to be a $4mill moneybomb in Dec. That soon after Black Friday, That close to Xmas, and with the previous Moneybomb history, it's just not likely. How about one next Friday

Why doesn't the campaign just take out loans? It's not like other campaigns don't. That way they can capitalize on the Dec. 16th moneybomb now. Even if they only borrowed a conservative <$1m

the problem isn't processing an ad buy, the problem is that by dec. 16th all the advertising slots will be filled. That was mentioned specifically as a reason why the fundraising last cycle came too late.
