This. Read my first post. What do you thing about the ten day end of the month push idea?

I think it needs to happen. Use the current polls in promotion as motivation. Also use the fact that we have less than 50 days until the Iowa caucus. If we ever needed to push and donate, now is the time. I like the 10 days for Iowa idea.

We are going to do well in Iowa, and the campaign is going to continue after Iowa. I couldn't contribute to the last moneybomb because I'm so maxed out, but I'm looking forward to and energized about contributing on Dec. 16th. I think we risk hurting the energy going into December if we try to squeeze a million more out of everyone. It took us 4 days to reach 1 million dollars on the 11th, I think that the success of the Dec. 16th moneybomb will have a greater affect than it did last time. Last time Paul's support was so low that it turned heads but not votes, this time he is a real contender and I think a lot of voters in these early states will be going all the way to the last minute unsure of who to vote for. The late moneybomb will defintely have an impact and propel Ron Paul's campaign push into New Hampshire and Nevada.

If, and only, IF, the media covers it.

Agreed. I don't want a pledge site or anything, because email lists should only be with the campaign, but we should contact them about putting a ticker up with an Iowa theme. Once it's confirmed, I'll begin promoting it.

I think we need to promote for donations now, regardless if the campaign confirms putting up a ticker. I think if the campaign sees that we are energized about something that could raise $1 million they will get behind us.

Good point, I will, but we need the campaign to put a ticker up at some point, because it encourages people to donate, especially people visiting his site for whatever reason.

Propose a date to begin it? I agree that it should be a running fundraiser for about 10 days, and the campaign should begin building enthusiasm for it with a couple of videos from Ron and some facebook and twitter updates about him being top tier, etc, and then put the ticker up and name it "The Iowa fund" or whatever.

Isn't the recent surge in activity on this board proof that Paul supporters will get fired up after his bump in the polls? I think you're dead right when you say that jump can be used to promote a moneybomb.

I'll be happy if they put it up as soon as possible if it's not a moneybomb. The enthusiasm is good now. We should start encouraging people to donate NOW on the Ron Paul facebook pages, and someone should tell the campaign, if they want to reach their goal. I won't be able to email them for a couple of hours.

I think if we hit it hard, they'll pick up on it. Even if they don't, we should do what we can to spread word of his recent rise in the polls while we've got this momentum to get every drop out of it that we can, and parlaying it into money for the campaign just makes sense.
