when people ask me who I would vote for (I'm Canadian, so i can't vote, but us Canadians still talk about US politics, probably more so than we talk about Canadian politics)... i always answer either, Barr, Baldwin, or write in Ron Paul.
So then they say, "if you had to choose between Obama and McCain"
then i answer: I would vote for Obama because no matter who is in office, the economic collapse will happen anyways, and that is really all that's going to matter. And if McCain is elected, all these damn left wing socialists (pretty much everyone in Canada), will blame the economic collapse on the Republicans and whine about "if only Obama won, we could have stopped this". So i want Obama to get elected, so that when the collapse really accelerates, they'll see that Obama wasn't some savior and that he's no different from the rest of the political machine that everyone thinks they're fighting against. Also, the policies that Obama will institute to try to prevent the economic collapse will only make the situation worse, and therefore we're likely to hit rock bottom much sooner with Obama's policies, so that by 2012, we can elect a Ron Paul candidate and set the country back in the right direction for the rebuild.
If Canadians were given the choice about who they would vote for (i'm sure this goes for Europe and most of the rest of the world as well)... it would be a landslide for Obama. Ron Paul is right that our school system is brainwashing us to love socialism and world government... and it's sad how few people understand what Ron Paul is talking about. But i was actually pleasantly surprised to see how many Americans supported ron paul. Before, i always thought, well... those Americans are going to get what they deserve. They're too stupid to ever figure out what's going on... but now that i see that there are millions of Ron Paul Americans who haven't been put to sleep and are willing to fight for their country, that made me a lot less cynical. I didn't think the United States had a chance, i thought they were going down for the count... but with this Ron Paul revolution, there's a chance to save your country and restore it to its former glory.
