Video update: Rand Paul on CNN w/ Wolf Blitzer

Rand did say he'd support the Republican nominee no matter what... he definitely is thinking about his political future.

He has to do that. He wants to run for the GOP nomination for President someday. People shouldn't be angry at Rand for endorsing the nominee in his own party. I'm "No One But Paul" this time around, but I'm just a private citizen. Rand is a United States Senator who wants to actually have a future in the Republican Party.

^that. Romney won't win. when offered two shades of the same color... voters will pick the one that already occupies the office. proven time and time again...

romney will lose. believe that.

Romney won't become President. That's the point.

I won't support either Romney or Obama. But the fact is that the polls show a very competitive race between the two of them. Romney could very well beat Obama if he becomes the nominee. I believe that Romney and Ron are the only Republicans who would have much of a chance to beat Obama. The polls show that.

I just don't see it happening. He doesn't challenge Obama on the issues. Obama's numbers will jump once he announces Hilary at the bottom of the ticket. Then you have pro-war vs pro-war, with an incumbent advantage and an untrustworthy moderate Republican. Even Rubio wouldn't carry Florida for Romney when you have the seniors jumping to Obama because they love Hilary.

Romney would make it close, but I think Obama would pull it out. PPP just tweeted today that Obama's numbers are holding up very well in Virginia and Colorado. I think he has those two locked up against Romney. If so, then all he has to do is win one of: FL, OH, or PA (as well as all the states Kerry won except NH) and he has the election won.

Obama has an incredibly bad economy on his hands. He loses by default. GOP has to actually hand it back to him. Romney could win simply by making no mistakes, most of the other candidates couldn't even do that.

Can we get a tube of this??? Might be the best interview I've ever seen!!!

Romney would lose. By a landslide. Independents would sit out or vote Obama. Ron Paul supporters would leave the GOP and protest vote. And no Dem would ever think of switchover.

Get it out of your head that Romney even has a chance. He doesn't. Zippo. This is all about Ron Paul vs. Obama & the Establishments.
