Video update: Jack Welch and wife on Fox News discussing Ron Paul

When a long train of abuses and usurpations, pursuing invariably the same goal designed to reduce a man's chances to do his job effectivly and when such abuses are coordinated to cause failure of a man, there can be no absolvement when that man finally leaves that job.

Great passage. Where's this from? Did you write this? Or is this Thomas Paine or somebody?

These smug, arrogant elitist idiots. Really! Whom do they think they are kidding? They know they cannot win with the moderate Romney, just as John Anderson their third party moderate stooge in 1980, could not help them defeat a conservative Reagan. They were willing to accept the democrat Carter as president rather than have Reagan and still lost. Only a consistent conservative as Paul has been for thirty years can defeat Obama. Evidently they want Obama to win. Go back to your ivory tower Welch's. Leave the future to your own sons and their friends who have more sense than you do.

To people who think it was an endorsement of Paul, you're drinking too much kool-aid...

They flat out said they support Mitt Romney, and it was abundantly clear that they're telling the party to do what all the other candidates have already been doing lately: pander for our votes that the party desperately needs to beat Obama, as they find other ways to ignore and discredit Paul. They don't care about him. They care about our votes.

Some of you must forget who's speaking there: an extremely powerful man, who isn't going to defer to his children on global matters. Every indication is that they still view us as a threat to the status quo, which they damn well should! Where they underestimate us though, is thinking our ideals can be bought and repackaged.

RP supporters are just as impervious to fake respect as Dr. Paul is. We have a cause and it is to save this country from people like you who have enslaved it for your own purposes, namely to wield power and hold our government hostage while you make your big bucks off the corporate welfare we pay for your efforts, as you insinuate yourselves into every part of Americans' lives, including their homes and personal choices. It is ludicrous of you to even THINK you have control over the supporters of Dr. Paul or over Dr. Paul himself. We will win. You will lose. We are NOT sheep.

Your generation is done. And I am older then you Mr. and Mrs. Welch. You are losing your power over people. Just ask your own sons who see the light. It is time for you to step aside and allow your own children their turn to do things the right way as you did not.

@ 2:30 --- "We have kids in our house now who are absolute Ron Paul fanatics. We have their friends come over...Ron Paul has some heated, passionate, young followers."

^Maybe this is what brought his attention to RP. I'm cracking up over here. :-DDDDD

They can at least take some pride in having reared four intelligent sons. :D

That was horribly condescending. Get out, but give him something so his people will vote for us still... just make sure he isn't allowed to touch anything important.

People who lack integrity and priinciples are incapable of recognizing and understanding it when it stands before them. They call integrity "weirdly honest" and then wonder why people would ever support anyone honest and principled. Their view of the world has always been and will always be through the lens of dishonesty and lack of principles. How very sad. Yet they laugh at the people who believe in a higher purpose than power and money.

Partly from the Declaration of Independence.

But when a long train of abuses and usurpations, pursuing invariably the same object evinces a design to reduce them under absolute despotism, it is their right, it is their duty, to throw off such government, and to provide new guards for their future security.

Welcome to the forum. :)

You need to read the comments. No one said Welch endorsed Dr. Paul . Welch said his four children support Dr. Paul and are avid followers, along with many of their friends. Welch and his wife are clearly Romney supporters and think they can pander to RP supporters and even to Dr. Paul for their votes.

Suzy didn't, she does not and did not raise their two girls and two boys, Jack(John)'s first first wife Carolyn raised their kids alone, basically as Jack was a workaholic, they divorced after they were all out of the house in college.

Thanks for the welcome. Paul supporter since 2006, and ready to do what I can to help convert more people....

That response was to a few who suggested that because his children are heirs to his legacy and fortune, that their statements were meant to be an informal endorsement for Paul...

I just wanted to point out the fact that everything suggests that they're doing nothing more than formulating a strategy not to piss us off, so they can continue to pander for our votes.

Thank you sir, I wrote it for this thread. I based it on a phrase from the Declaration of Independence. I was thinking about how Jack is arguing about proper treatment of a leaving employee while ignoring the improper treatment in all events prior to the leaving.

I spoke to legacy and fortune. I did not say they were endorsing him. I stated clearly that they have begun to accept our meme..scaffolding is the term I used. Scaffolding is the method they use to spread their virulent meme. Because our viral meme is an immune system response to the virulent MIC meme and tends to kill its effects on those who accept the beginning scaffolding it will eventually replace the false meme of the warmonger with the meme of the Prince of Peace as exemplified through the RP platform.. The rest of the rollout I suggested will be due to providence.

It was not my intention to be condescending. I am giving what I believe to be, constructive criticism. There a lot of non-supporters that will read these posts. It is best to always be respectful if your goal is maximize the number of votes for Ron Paul.

I don't mind being disagreed with. I don't mind my arguments being constructively criticized. But you did neither.

You elided my orignal post and lumped the elision ("... And they bring on the enfeebled Welch's well-schooled-and-prepped wife to ensure the "correct" interpretation, clarification & elaboration of what Welch has to say. ...") with quotes from three other people who employed varying degrees of obscenity in their posts.

You then told all four of us that we should "censor" ourselves. This is not constructive criticism. This is shool-marmish finger-wagging.

And while I can understand a prim reaction to the other three quotes, I am completely mystified as to what it is you think ought to be "censored" in what I wrote.

Jack and Suzy Welch just straight up told the establishment to take Ron Paul seriously. When Ron Paul gives his demands, Suzy says "make it happen". When Bolling says to Jack: "You want Ron Paul to step aside..." Welch leans forward and says "No ... When He decides to ... Give him what he wants" The body language and carefully selected words are very significant. When a CEO uses the phrase "make it happen" to his senior VP, he/she is not bullshitting - You better do what he says or lose your job.

There's just one problem here: in the interview, a CEO did *not* use that phrase - his *wife* did.
(Actually, there are other problems, too, but I'll attend upon just this one.)

If Jack Welch is such a strapping bull moose as you make him out to be, why does he need someone else to explain & emphasize what he means? Hmmm?

That is *exactly* the point I was making in the sentence you wanted me to "censor."

In short: who the hell is Suzy Welch (besides the current wife of Jack Welch), and why should I give a pair of fetid dingo's kidneys for what she has to say about Ron Paul?

Figuratively speaking ... we have entered an entirely new phrase of this race. Per Jack and Suzy Welch's statements, the establishment must stop dismissing Paul and start asking "Ok - What are you demands"

Literally speaking - not "figuratively," but literally - they made it absolutely clear that they think RP's demands are to be met only if those demands cost the establishment NOTHING.

A speaking slot at the convention? A say in the platform? Give me a break!

Per Jack & Suzy(??!) Welch's statements, Ron Paul is to be allowed - at absolute best - an impotent, useless & easily ignorable "advisory" role in a Romney, Gingrich or Santorum (??!) administration.

(While we're on the subject: can one of the Welch fans around here explain just what the difference between a mere "advisor" and a "real advisor" is? It must be something very impressive!)

And did Jack Welch seriously suggest that - perhaps - Ron Paul could be allowed to address Congress on one of RP's pet topics?

Why, yes! Yes, he did:
Jack Welch said:
"Maybe, Eric, he could make a case to the Congress [garbled: "as part of" ?] the administration to deal with the Fed in a different way ..."

So ... Jack Welch magnanimously & oooooh-soooooo generously offers that Ron Paul might (just might, mind you!) be permitted to present his thoughts on the Federal Reserve system before - are you ready for this? are you sitting down? - before Congress itself!!

:rolleyes::rolleyes::rolleyes:

I mean, come on! How can anyone take this seriously? What the HELL does Jack Welch think Ron Paul has been doing for, oh ... THE LAST THREE DECADES!!!

Proof that the tide is turning

Proof that the establishment is worried enough to trot out an ex-CEO from the corporate heart of the MIC web in a ridiculous & transparent attempt to pretend that they're willing to take Ron Paul seriously.

They are not willing to do so, as l'affaire Welch demonstrates. They are right to be worried. though ...

News flash:

These 4 kids are NOT talking about Jack's children!

they are about Suzy's children, also 4 of them.

From a 2004 article, she said she had 4 children aged 9 to 15, so we are looking at young voters :)

Jack's has one of his own that looks rather on the liberal side, still some working going by people about others, but it is on the wrong path.

Roscoe Wetlaufer is one of the sons of Suzy, and worked for joe at Morning Joe.......

I have to say that I find that clip of the Welch's message downright bizarre. I take it as them (almost but not quite really, for the sake of obfuscation) coming right out and saying that while they are dead set against what Ron Paul stands for, they know they have little hope this election without the back-up of his supporters that are so fervent and so many.
What they fail to acknowledge - or are more likely afraid to acknowledge - is that it's really all a matter of a large part of Americans having woken up to how we are being ripped off and our rights subjugated by our own government. Mainly, they have been forced to face the fact that there is no real future for the Republican party if they straight-out turn off the educated and committed young citizens who passionately care about this country. That's it.
What they don't want to admit to themselves is that the game for them is up because people all over are catching on to them and the effect their underhandedness has on our lives. We know for certain that there is no safe little nook in Romney's cabinet in which they can install Dr. Paul to be ignored that will placate us and make us feel satisfied about things continuing on as they have been for way too many years. It's time to stop trying to fool everyone because it's not that easy to do it anymore. We have caught on and it's too late now.
The message put forth in the clip should just be taken as merely another sign of pure desperation on the part of the entrenched GOP as it has degenerated into for too long. We should take this as yet more incentive to continue to work towards making the Republican party into a party that stands for what is right, and which works for providing a foundation that allows all of us to build a better future for ourselves.

So unless we continue to grow in magnitudes, all we have accomplished is getting the Democrat in the White House in perpetuity.
