[VIDEO] New Commercial - "BIG DOG" - for ESPN + Other Sports Stations

Overall great ad, but...

I think any time you talk specifically about what departments to eliminate, you play into this idea that Paul is an "extremist." Why not just say "Paul would eliminate 5 bureaucracies" and mention the fact that he would cut his own pay? It just sounds a lot better than listing departments he wants to axe.

You may have a point about the departments, but most conservatives want the Department of Education and the EPA to be gone. I doubt many know what the others do.

It's a good ad. Smile.

Oh that would have been perfect if he mentioned his OWN pay at 39K!!!! That is so blue collar right there. :)

Okay I think most can agree it's good for the ESPN demographic (though I haven't seen actual confirmation where it WILL be airing), and if I was watching Ax Men and I saw this I would love it!

But can someone explain why THIS demographic SHOULD be targeted, as opposed to seniors or women? I thought we already dominated the 18-35 year old demographic.

I liked it. It talks to a specific target audience, yet it is tongue in cheek to a certain extent. It also comes off as modern, hip and professional, comparable to the Ford commercials. "He's catchin' on!"

What? This ad DOES appeal to seniors. It appeals to baby boomers in a major way. Both men and women want their President to know what he is doing and also to be very strong.

This ad calls out the posers. Only Ron Paul means business. The others are wimps.

It's a good message for conservatives.

i think the thought process is that we do very very well with men 18-35 and we might pick up some folks unaffiliated with either party by advertising on neutral stations. Just a thought.

I think its kick ass. Should have shown Ron hitting the only home-run in the congress baseball game. Would have been a cool addition.

The Iowa Caucus is all about turning out your base to vote. Enthusiasm is a huge deal. From that perspective, this ad is great.

I liked it, kind of campy and homey like Sarah Palin, but ya know...He's catching on I'm telling ya.

OK, I can sympathize with a few nay-sayers here.

We don't like the fact that Paul has to play this game and dumb-down his message and its seriousness to appeal to the masses of idiots. We wish that wasn't the case. But this is the world we live in, and in order to win, we have to play that game as far as we can without ever sacrificing our principles. Paul has probably had a harder time adapting to this than we have.

The should have thrown in, "Ron Paul supports a College football playoff" he would get most of the "sports nation" vote. XD

This ad is pretty funny. Obviously targeted to the manly crowd.

I can see a 30-something dude sitting on his couch and seeing this commercial during half-time and thinking to himself, "What in the hell? I ain't no pussy!" And then support Ron Paul. Easy as cake.
