Vapers of the Forums, unite! :D

I've been vaping Steam Co's "Gentleman's Reserve" and enjoying it, but my shop was out of the 3mg (12mg was the lowest they had, and I'm down to 3 so that wasn't going to work) but I picked up a bottle of Space Jam's "Solstice" 3mg in high VG. I like it, but the lemon finish strikes me as weird every time I exhale. I am definitely interested in mixing my own to save money. I'm paying $20 for 15mL or $30 for 30mL.

"Health officials want to be proactive on this important public health issue," said Lisa Waddell, who leads community health and prevention at the Association of State and Territorial Health Officials. "The issue of real concern here is we really don't know everything that's in these products, and you are seeing the rise of the use of these products in our children as well as our adults."

Well, at least Lisa is being honest about who really owns you.

I'm actually thinking about quitting vaping. It really does work to replace cigarettes but for the first time in about 4 years, I'm thinking about quitting e-cigs. I dropped my nicotine levels months ago and didn't notice it really.

National Call to Action: Tell the White House to urge FDA to re-work the deeming regulations so that life-saving vapor products can remain on the market!

(Please note: At the time of this writing, changes to the FDA deeming regulations have not been published. CASAA’s assessment of the FDA’s proposed regulations is based on the version that was published in 2014. That having been said, it will take nothing short of a complete overhaul of the proposed deeming rule in order to allow nearly even 10% of vapor products currently on the market to remain on the market.)

Today, Tuesday, October 27th, longtime vaping opponent the Campaign for Tobacco-Free Kids (CTFK) has organized a call-in action to urge President Obama to put pressure on the FDA to finalize their Tobacco Deeming Regulations. What CTFK and others are failing to mention is that if the deeming regulations are enacted as written, 99.9% of the vapor products currently on the market will be gone within two to four years. Make no mistake, the current proposed regulations will have a devastating impact on consumers and businesses alike; not to mention the obvious damage to public health.

First, if you have not already done so, it is critical that you send an email to your Congressional representative and Senators asking them to support and co-sponsor HR 2058, a bill that would stop the FDA from banning 99%-plus of vapor products.

Second, please take a moment, on Wednesday, October 28th, to

Call the White House at 202-456-1111.
We have provided talking points below.

Third, please share this post with your friends.

Talking points:

I am calling to urge President Obama to protect consumer choice and demand that the FDA re-work its Tobacco Deeming Regulations so that the existing wide variety of e-cigarette and vapor products can remain on the market.

As written, the FDA’s proposed e-cigarette regulations will remove 99.9% of vapor products from the market.

Please briefly share your personal story about switching to vapor products. Make sure to include any improvements in health you have experienced or, perhaps, that your doctor has observed. If the variety of flavors are important to you, be sure to mention that too.

Thank you. I hope we can count on the President to protect adult access to these life-saving products.

I have been buyin premium juices locally mostly 30ml for 20 bux mostly cause I can try them all in my rda instore and pick my favorites. I have been wanting to cut costs

Mixing your own is cheap.. but I am buying 120ml for $20-$40, that is about 25-50% of the cost of what you and gunny are paying.. (actually more for gunny who is paying $20 for a 15 ml!!)

I found a place called Bear's Mountain Shine that makes very high quality juice, $10 for 30ml, FREE SHIPPING..

And again, I've been pretty happy with 808 vape shack especially during their 30% off sales which happen pretty regularly..

Artisan Vapers was ok, definetely the cheapest on the market at $20 for 120ml

There's a boogity-boogity article out of Fla. about some young man who's mod exploded...

The usual culprits are screaming ban.......

If the media wanted to be helpful, they would report the brand of the mod, battery, atomizer and report exactly what went wrong so it could be avoided by others. But they really don't give a shit about vapers like they pretend to, they just want to scare people. Most mods have too many safety features for this to be an issue, so it would be good to know which ones to avoid.

The idea is to force compliance with constantly changing societal norms not to inform or educate consumers........

Fad fading?

To vape or not to vape? More and more just say no …

The sight of colleagues and acquaintances taking a drag on an e-cigarette has become commonplace. But have we reached “peak vape”?

Statistics suggest that vaping among smokers and recent ex-smokers, who comprise the vast majority of vapers, may already be on the decline. The figures will be studied closely by the major e-cigarette firms, which have poured millions into promoting a technology that was thought to have been growing in popularity.

Figures released last year by the health charity Ash reveal that usage among adults in Britain of electronic cigarettes – which do not contain tobacco and produce vapour, not smoke – has tripled over the past two years from an estimated 700,000 users in 2012 to 2.1 million in 2014.

However, figures collated by the Smoking Toolkit Study, a research body backed by the Department of Health that provides quarterly updates on smoking trends, show vaping’s appeal may be waning. Vaping rates among smokers and ex-smokers rose steadily until the end of 2013, when some 22% of smokers and ex-smokers were vaping. But this proportion levelled out throughout 2014 before dropping to 19% during the final quarter of last year. Early signs suggest the decline has continued into 2015.

I just got one of these and holy fuck:

I have it set to 26W right now, and it is showing 0.6 ohms. The first coil in the tank is rated 0.2 ohms, the replacement is 0.5 ohms, so I will see if I notice any difference when I switch them out.

24 mg nicotine is not going to be possible using this. I have 12 mg in it now and mixed in a little bit of 18 mg, doing more than 3 hits on it will make me sit my ass down for a while, LOL.

Buy some 0 mg juice and mix it down to 3 mg... seriously, that's all you need with a sub ohm.. I'm surprised you can handle it, I couldn't even take a drag of the 12 mg on a 1.5 ohm pen vape, it was too harsh - nic is harsh.

I wouldn't even put in the .2 ohm coils until you get lower nic juice, the .2 ohm coil will produce a bit more vapor. When you do, you will be increasing the wattage on your mod.

Yeah, next on my list is some 0 mg. The local shop was reluctant even to sell me the 12 mg, I asked for 24 mg and they were like LOL, no.

I had been vaping for 2 years until I fully stopped. This is a good jumpstart to those who wants to quit the habit.

That 50 watt istick is dangerous. I have one and quit using it after the button stuck a couple times. Do some searches about istick 50w explosions. They have really shitty quality control.

Sigelei and Snow Wolf make great mods..

I think if you keep the ejuice off the button it will probably be ok.. My SMOK M80 Xpro has button issues but luckily it won't stay stuck down, but it was a bit worse when I was carting it around in a plastic bag and ejuice was getting on the button. I wouldn't buy another tho.
