Vapers of the Forums, unite! :D

I love a good vape session. I'm in the market for a new dry herb vape. I've had a few over the years and I think it's awesome how the technology keeps improving.

Like Specs, I use a Provari for the vaporizer (ie. "battery"). I have a couple of others, but I end up using it most of the time. Never fails.

For the juice delivery device, a couple of years ago, I must have tried 10 different types. In the end, I got tired of all the fuss and went to a Kanger Pro Tank 2. You sacrifice a little flavor, but just put the juice in and it works.

If you like black licorice, mtbakervapor is the best, in my opinion. I'm not a big fan of their other flavors though. I don't like Virgin Vapor at all. Their juice always smells like rubbing alcohol to me. Besides the black licorice, I enjoy vaping fruity flavors and this is my current favorite place to get them. http://highbrowvapor.com/. I love the Orange de Sangre and the Peach Thymbra. I usually get them with a bit more flavor added. He'll change 'em up for you. I do a 50PG/50VG mix. 100 VG is so thick, I find it a pain to vape.

If you really want to find out the latest and the greatest, there is all kinds of info and help, here. http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/forum/

Well went back Steel City Vapors and the guy there took some giant Snoop Dog hits off of it and said it was "a little bit harsh" but I should be able to hit it. Then he asked me to try hitting it so i tried and started coughing and he just stared at me for a while. I asked if that was it and he said we could adjust the draw on the atomizer. I asked to return whatever i could and he said they don't take returns (guess that explains why I didn't get a reciept) so I left.

I found another place called Up in Smoke Vapors Cafe it was a bit of a drive though. I went in and stood at the counter forever, while some guy is talking flavors and recommending stuff and letting the guy smell the bottles. I'm thinking this is great this place seems to care much more about the customers, hopefully they can tell me what nic level to get and help me find a flavor I might like.

A guy finally comes over and asks how I'm doing, I say fine explain the situation tell him i think maybe the nicotine is too high. "Ya it sounds like the nic might be to high", he says and looks at me for a minute, so I tell him the one i tried is 18 mg and describe my smoking habits and ask what level he would recommend. He responded with 1 word "lower", so I asked how low and he says the lowest is a 6 he then asks what flavor I want and I say I don't know so he puts a menu on the table. I look at it for a min and while some of it are flavors i like in food, they don't sound like an ideal smoke, so I go to ask the guy what he would recommend and hes gone bs'in with some guy.

I stand there for a while those other 2 guys are still talkin and sniffin bottles. As I'm waiting I start thinking about the nicotine levels again. 6 just sounds too low for some reason, I decide to just leave. Before I pulled out, I decided I came too far to go home empty handed just to order something online, and wait a couple days more, even if the flavor isn't ideal sounding.I google nic level selection, found a site that said 18 mg is for a regular cigarette smoker which confused me even more.

I go back in and I actually get waited on pretty quick this time a different guy gives me the menu and I decide to get a 6 and whatever the next level up is and he asks me "9?". I say I dunno whatever the next level up is, he looks at me like I'm supposed to know, and I get a little upset and say, "I don't know what ever the next higher level is" and someone next to hims says yes 9.

So I left with 1 fruit stripes gum 9 mg 50/50 pg/vg and 1 custards revenge 6 mg 35/65 pg/vg...

...and they still are still too hot harsh to hit.

Sorry guys at $250 in the hole here, I don't think I get to join the club lol

Is the vapor hot in your throat? If it is, it makes me think you have the voltage turned too high. Oh, and I haven't been over there in awhile, but there used to be an area on the e-cigarette forum where you could sell your stuff. You have to apply for access, but once you do, you can sell the stuff you have and try something else, if you want.

Well I have managed to get used to it, my last cigarette was on Tuesday and since last Saturday the only cigarettes I had were at work cause I didn't want to take the one I bought in due to its bong-like appearance lol.

My problems were partly technique related, and exacerbated by my choice of tank and the lowest wattage on the vape being 6.5. I also think the 30 year tar coating on my lungs played a significant role as the coughing was likely due to the cillia in my lungs being steam cleaned. The heat seemed to be an issue with the tank I was using without proper technique the vapor coming out of it was hot enough to burn the roof of my mouth like pizza cheese the tank is very free flowing and allows alot of heat and flavor through it actualy feels like the hot juice condenses in your mouth with poor technique.

What helped me was using the Iclear30 tank that came with the vape over the high end tank I was recommended to me by the guy in the store. The key was it has a tighter draw and it allows less heat through. It still made me cough alot of shit up for a day or two but I forced my way through it. After lots of practice I can now hit the more advanced tank without all the heat, though I can't put my finger on exactly what I'm doing that I wasn't before but have to assume it has to be self regulating the draw.

After getting the hang of it with my first vape, I picked up an vision spinner 2 with a Kanger EVOD 2 tank for work and when I'm out and about. It is sufficient for work as it delivers the nicotine, but doesn't give a satisfying throat hit if I'm just sittin around vaping, if this was my first buy I would have never been able to quit the cigs.

I then picked up an istick 50 at another local place called Vape Dogs wich is awesome for when I'm out but still feels a little conspicuous to take to work, at least until everyone gets used to me smokin a more traditional looking "e-cig"

I got another tank with the istick 50 that I still can't hit properly. It is an eleaf melo, it is sub ohm, and has even more airflow and heat than the nautalis. I asked for a tank with a tight draw and she probly couldn't have recommended anything worse than this, but I am getting better with it.

TLDR:

It had nothing to do with the juice for me, anyone with issues like mine should try an iclear 30 tank and wattages under 6.5 will be helpful but not absolutely necessary .

For a noob that hasn't bought anything yet I'd recommend an Iclear 30 tank with an Istick 30 or 50 battery and push through the coughing as it will go away as you cough shit up and get used to it.

Wow, I keep my Kanger down at 3.2 to 3.5v to make the battery last longer. I don't need crazy clouds, I just want to inhale the nic and I'm fine, right? Mine tastes like it's burning anywhere above 4.5v. I'm guessing your battery was designed for a different line of tanks altogether, big cloud tanks, in other words. I'm happy with just breathing the nic and don't really need any kind of cloud to exhale at all. If I were to get just enough to totally absorb it exhaling basically nothing, and get the nic I need to get past the cigarette hump, I'm as good as gold.

It is supposed to work with any 510 threaded tank, but the the wattage selections on it are pretty high though.

I think the clouds help me psychologically as for me that is one of the most relaxing and satisfying parts of smoking is slowly blowing out the clouds of smoke. If I hadn't gotten one capable of big clouds I likely would have had a harder time sticking with it, so even though it was a PITA getting my issues sorted out, I'm glad I got what I did.

Yeah, sometimes I want clouds too, I just kick the voltage up to 4.2 and I'm set. From what I am led to understand by a friend of mine, 4.2v on the iStick also works well for Cloupor M3.

Since I'm down to 12 on the minimum clouds, I'd probably need a 6mg with the big clouds. I've got half a mind to try the Cloupor Taotie tank and just have something like that as an 'alternate tank' for when I want giant clouds. It would be rare that I wanted giant clouds though, so I probably need a big cloud tank that is not essentially a modder tank.

I'm really starting to like the Nautalis Aspire big clouds on lower voltage and alot of the taste come through and the replacement BVC atomisers for it are pretty cheap.

I'm might get an RBA setup next week though, as one of the local places is havin a sale with some nice lookin ones for 5-10 bux a piece.

Can you vape with a "concentrate pipe"? Does anyone use one?

It’s a bowl/slide with holes on the sides, rather than one on the bottom, so that the hash can melt to the bottom of the bowl and the vapor gets sucked through the holes. To smoke with one of these specialty bowls, hash is placed in the bottom of the bowl. Generally a glass ‘wand’ is heated with a torch and when it comes in contact with the hash, the wand vaporizes the hash.

That's what we use. The DW uses the glass one, I use the metal one because I drop and break stuff.

It took me a bit to get used to, even after I could hit my Iclear 30 tank at the highest settings this one seemed rough at the lowest settings.

I also had a lot of leaking before I learned when filling to keep the airflow adjustment closed until screwing the tank on and turning it right side up again to keep it pressurized correctly.

I'm currently trying to get used to an Eleaf Melo 0.5 ohm tank, that currently feels like the Nautalis did before I learned how to hit it.

I just got some GWAR German Chocolate Beefcake (3mg) it is soooooo good.. Also have some Unicorn Milk on the way from cutter, one of my friend's highly recommended it to me, it is a strawberry cream.. pretty expensive

If you get a menthol flavor, dedicate a tank and a cartomizer to it, I am rinsing all my shit in vodka right now trying to get it out.. Yuck.. I have a 30ml bottle of Thug Juice and I'm fuckin hating it.. I actually wouldn't mind a few drags but I can't smoke it regularly, def not with 3 flavor shots added and would never dedicate a tank to menthol...def a mistake

Also I found out it seems everybody I know who vapes is in the 1.5mg - 3mg range in nic.. I really like the lower nic levels better, I'm still getting plenty but really getting to enjoy smoking bigger hits and more repeated hits without getting really light headed.

Hey guys check out the Vape Boss app. It an incredible resource and free. Im not affiliated with this app I was just suprised to see how well it concintrated info on vape gear

I try to buy all of my e-cig supplies online but there have been a few emergencies when I had to visit brick & mortar shops. Those places are magnets for douche bags.

Yeah "bro", I'm happy with my itaste and istick. I'm not interested in that contraption you are holding which is the size of a thermos, "bro".

I'm now able to hit that sub ohm tank like a champ, it seems I have been hitting way too slow this whole time you gotta hit it like its an empty milkshake lol

I picked up a handful of RDA's a mech mod and ohm tester at a local shop having a "garage sale" everything was like 5-10 bux a pop. Tons of vapor & flavor, I still have only built 3 of them up and not using them a ton but will likely phase them in more over time especialy as I lower my nic content most of my juices are now 6mg

I just got some GWAR German Chocolate Beefcake (3mg) it is soooooo good..

I would recommend this one as well, I also got the Blood Bath from the Gwar line, its really good too, tastes like Hawaiian Punch.

Another one I got that I am really liking is Peanut Butter and Jesus by Cosmic Charlies Chalk Dust.

I just went sub ohm, I got an aspire atlantis tank and the aspire CF SUB OHM battery all for $60..great performance and taste.

Started that tank out with the Dr. Peppa from sweet vapes, if you really like Dr. Pepper it tastes just like it.. but it has a bit strong of a cinnamon/peppermint flavor to really mix with much so I am getting the cherry cola flavor from nirvana, along with some buddha's breath (indian spiced coconut - think indian spiced rice pudding).. also got the GWAR uncolored spew (melon/berry), admiral crunchberry and vanilla butternut squash. The unicorn milk is pretty damn good, I have been going back and forth between that and the german chocolate beefcake but am looking for a cheaper option in the berries/cream dept.

Anybody had any other really good chocolate flavors?
