Haha can I just say it is crazy how many views / pages this thread has?
I love the spirit of collaboration and drive that has been displayed here. As someone who is relatively still new to this community, it is very good to see.

As far as the color seeming dim and not standing out. It is actually a side effect of exporting the file to a .png in Illustrator. The actual high resolution PDF and Illustrator file has a much more bright and vibrant look. So I just took a screenshot of my design in illustrator and cropped out all the junk in Photoshop, haha. These are the true colors of the design.

Thanks so much Sunny!!!! It was a great team effort. And soon we'll see the final. Hopefully it will be shown tomorrow.
My understanding is that today somehow they will be submitted and I think they have until the 1st to decide. I'm not sure. I will find out.
If the submission deadline is Monday it would be much better (and more considerate) for them to make a decision today. There still need to be the final pre-press checks... obtaining rights (if needed)... any tweaks RPAC desires... creating the artwork in final submission form. Putting this decision off until submission day may be a bad idea as the selected designer may not be available to make all the final changes on the same day as the selection.
Please see if they can move up their selection so the selected designer has time to reasonably complete the finished piece.
thanks
It sucks that the image Romulus used is not available for use... that was my personal favorite

Late to the party. Oh well, it was fun!
1. I'm not a graphic artist.
2. The photo came from a link earlier in this thread. I don't have photographer credits. If anyone does, it could be added.
I guess photobucket doesn't let you embed images from it on other sites, but here it is anyway.

OK folks - I NEED help!
NO MORE SUBMISSIONS PLEASE - THE DEADLINE IS OVER!
This is being asked of me from RevolutionPAC and I do not have this info. I need help with this. I have to go out soon and this needs to get done NOW. Please folks - help me out. I'm running out of time.
I do NOT have names, email addresses, name/tile of ad, and proper copyright authorizations
Send me ONE email with all the ads as attachments. Include the designer's name, email address, "name/title of ad", and proper copyright authorizations.
I'll forward it on to the team.
One note to your question regarding copyrighted photos. The designers should have taken the correct procedures ALREADY to acquire the usage rights. It can be painful and lengthy to secure them if not done yet.
Therefore if any of the ads submitted are not accompanied with the photographers name and authorization, the submission will unfortunately be disqualified. We just risk to much otherwise.
Understood,
I can put an email together with everyone's information and all of the submissions to be reviewed. However, it might be difficult to get everyone's contact information quickly since there is no telling who will be around and when to check this thread.
[/COLOR]Also, what is your email address so that we can email you? ha ha.

Here's my e: dawnakasun...
Some is Getty images which has a set price list, once it is selected. Some are images by Gage who has a set policy of requiring credit, only, for these images and it was thought might waive that for the ad (he's a forum member). Others, who knows? They should pick those 'in the running' so those that aren't aren't chasing this stuff for nothing, imho.
