URGENT * DEADLINE 7/28 MIDNIGHT* Grassroots Talent Needed for FULL PAGE Iowa ad

Haha can I just say it is crazy how many views / pages this thread has?

I love the spirit of collaboration and drive that has been displayed here. As someone who is relatively still new to this community, it is very good to see.

As far as the color seeming dim and not standing out. It is actually a side effect of exporting the file to a .png in Illustrator. The actual high resolution PDF and Illustrator file has a much more bright and vibrant look. So I just took a screenshot of my design in illustrator and cropped out all the junk in Photoshop, haha. These are the true colors of the design.

cool. so you got it covered. nice.

Thanks so much Sunny!!!! It was a great team effort. And soon we'll see the final. Hopefully it will be shown tomorrow.

You are most welcome x. This is a lot of fun and there's so much good stuff coming out from you all.
I think the RPAC will be overwhelmed at the response to this project. You know - like blown away! :)

I think they're going to need some time here to go through them all. There's so much good stuff here. Y'all are AMAZING!!!

My understanding is that today somehow they will be submitted and I think they have until the 1st to decide. I'm not sure. I will find out.

If the submission deadline is Monday it would be much better (and more considerate) for them to make a decision today. There still need to be the final pre-press checks... obtaining rights (if needed)... any tweaks RPAC desires... creating the artwork in final submission form. Putting this decision off until submission day may be a bad idea as the selected designer may not be available to make all the final changes on the same day as the selection.

Please see if they can move up their selection so the selected designer has time to reasonably complete the finished piece.
thanks

It sucks that the image Romulus used is not available for use... that was my personal favorite

Frankly, I agree. Their part in this is just sitting down to make the choice and it can be today as well as later, and there are rights clearances on some, like the Getty images ones. (the price is posted, but the mechanical work still has to be done.)

The choice won't be easy, but there is no reason it shouldn't be fast. Delaying it won't make it easier.

Plus there has been discussion on other threads about using some of what isn't chosen (with designer permission) for flyers to hand out at the debate, or to advertise the 'For Liberty' screening. There is also a thread on here about creating handouts for the County Fairs and some of this might be good there (with an invite on the back to iowaforronpaul.com to sign up to the straw poll, or attend the screening, etc.)

Like I said - I think - so I need to find out the details for sure.

I am going to forward what you wrote to Gary. Michael is on the advisory board. He needs to get this also so I will forward to him too.

thread winner, imo. there's absolutely nothing I would change to this, besides amending the statement:

"August 13th choose the one most constitutional, honest, and qualified presidential candidate: Dr. Ron Paul."

to

"On August 13th, choose the most constitutional, honest, and qualified presidential candidate: Dr. Ron Paul."

Just a thought... if RPAC has the money there is still time to take out more than one spot (today is the deadline).

A few of the ads have enough variety in the message and reach a different market segment it might be worth considering doing more than one ad in this special Straw Poll section.

Different message delivery reaches different viewers... may be worth considering.
Half Off Sale • Save 50% • Buy One Get One Free
all the same end result... but a different pitch because of the way people process information

OK folks - I NEED help!

NO MORE SUBMISSIONS PLEASE - THE DEADLINE IS OVER!

This is being asked of me from RevolutionPAC and I do not have this info. I need help with this. I have to go out soon and this needs to get done NOW. Please folks - help me out. I'm running out of time.

I do NOT have names, email addresses, name/tile of ad, and proper copyright authorizations

Send me ONE email with all the ads as attachments. Include the designer's name, email address, "name/title of ad", and proper copyright authorizations.
I'll forward it on to the team.
One note to your question regarding copyrighted photos. The designers should have taken the correct procedures ALREADY to acquire the usage rights. It can be painful and lengthy to secure them if not done yet.
Therefore if any of the ads submitted are not accompanied with the photographers name and authorization, the submission will unfortunately be disqualified. We just risk to much otherwise.

Understood,

I can put an email together with everyone's information and all of the submissions to be reviewed. However, it might be difficult to get everyone's contact information quickly since there is no telling who will be around and when to check this thread.

Also, what is your email address so that we can email you? haha.

Wow! Thank you! You are a LIFE SAVER!

As many as you can get is a start. But we will need the info - hopefully - by this evening.

Any thought on the copyright info he wants. I do not know who has what or who needs what as of right now. It looks like which ever ad is "copyright ready" is what can go with now. And I bet that that is going to exclude some of these ads. I'm at a loss for that.

Some is Getty images which has a set price list, once it is selected. Some are images by Gage who has a set policy of requiring credit, only, for these images and it was thought might waive that for the ad (he's a forum member). Others, who knows? They should pick those 'in the running' so those that aren't aren't chasing this stuff for nothing, imho.

Here's my e: dawnakasun...

Sunny, you're probably going to want to edit your post to say:

dawnakasunny at gmail dot com

to prevent the spambots that crawl the internet from finding and bombarding your email address :)

Ok, I need to head out in a few minutes. Do you know which ads have issues about copyright? - cuz I do not.
I thought Gage was a person. That's how much I know.

Could you work with d1sCo on that?

I can check in when I get back.
