Well about 203 posts late for that :D
The PAC has apparently already stated they don't want to reuse the Mosaic ad, but no word about the other one you made, so that could be a contender. The download page still exists, I should verify mirrors and eliminate any that fail tho. Haven't done any maintainance on the mosaic site since last cycle and the page that was gathering faces hasn't really taken off yet this time. At last check there were about 20.

Brain = Dead about now, will check the links and work on my cognitive abilities a bit.

Love this one, aesthetically it's very pleasing. A great starting point.

Here are my suggestions:

-We need to hammer home the idea that this guy is running for president, and he's the best man for the job. If I'm an average voter who hasn't been paying much attention and see this ad, I'm not sure if he's a candidate or a pastor for a mega church. In the bottom right hand corner, either put "For President" or "2012" next to or beneath Ron Paul. LOVE the check mark by the way, conveys multiple messages.

-Make the paragraph from his statement of faith MUCH bigger, and wrap quotation marks around it. If it's hard to read on my HD MacBook screen, I can't imagine how it will turn out in a newspaper. Also keep in mind that we're trying to target older voters whose eyesight may not be the best.

-One of our main objectives for the ad is to get people to turn out and vote for Ron at the straw poll. It would be great if you could put "Vote August 13th at the Ames Straw Poll" at the bottom like over Ron's tie.

-Love the picture. He looks dignified and presidential. Perfect.

Ultimately it's up to you, but if you do some of these things I think this ad will be VERY effective at targeting the Christian, conservative vote. So far it would have my support 100%.

That's great, but people are most interested in knowing that Paul knows what to do to turn America's economy around. It can be worded better than that, but you get the point. I do not think we are capitalizing on this yet and it is very important. Paul is the only one who has a clue. The past is important, but they are worried about the future.

Note: If you use that picture up above, it needs to be air brushed to minimize a few wrinkles. Like above his right eye. Just make them less deep.

Romulus, not sure if you created the "check mark" logo behind Ron Paul's name and campaign slogan; but I freakin' love it!

That red check mark is not only a suggestion to vote for Ron Paul, but it almost makes it seem as if Ron Paul's win is an inevitability that you want to participate in. Plus, there's a subtle reminder of the 'checks' and balances of the Constitution which Ron Paul upholds and defends. There's even a vague V for Vendetta reference to it since the red check somewhat looks like the red V mark from the movie (except of course here it's in a square rather than in a circle). Perhaps that V check mark could even be in a Ron Paul ReVolution t-shirt.

Truth vs. Lies is a powerful unifying theme. Or maybe a closer line at the bottom of the ad. That is one differentiating thing about Ron Paul.

Ron Paul: One Politician who Does Not Lie.

Ron Paul: Standing for the Truth, Defending the Constitution

Ron Paul: Doctor, Veteran, Leader,.... Honest Man.

Something like that.

I did like also the idea of a montage of pictures. I think you could have four bubbles scattered on the page, each with a line or two of text below or beside. A picture of him holding a newborn above the text:
Pro-life
He has delivered over 4,000 babies

Some picture of him looking stalwart and strong with:
Consistent
He opposed the bailout schemes of both Obama and Bush

I don't know what the other pictures/issues would be.

Anyway.... just trying to help in some small way. Things are starting to get exciting again! We need more grassroots projects like this.

Same here... just a couple of thoughts:
The check & box is great!

Maybe move the image of RP to the left and lose ½ of the black space...
to allow more room to make the wording larger and make RP less 'dead center'.

Remove the age spot on right side of forehead.

If there is room make a direct appeal to the people in Ames, Iowa... "Ames, Iowa • America is Counting on You" or similar

You could add an action statement "Vote For Ron Paul"... but I think your check box addresses the issue.

I know that adding more text could mess up the look (and that should be avoided).
Perhaps one more section titled "VISION" with words about Saving the Economy and Restoring Jobs...
a message that says RP has the Vision to Lead.

Looks great... excellent job!

Remember that this ad has to be more than something WE think looks cool. It needs to be something that will convince Iowa Republicans to vote for Ron Paul.
 
I think his statement of faith, the fact that he gets more money from active military than all other candidates combined, and that he is the strongest conservative candidate in the running would be three nice points perhaps for another ad.

Totally. They should read it and be convinced to vote for Dr. Paul at the Ames Straw Poll. It's a newspaper...and most people I know that read newspapers actually READ them. They aren't browsing them to look at the ads.

I think highlighting his endorsements could help. Here are a couple I found:
