I don't know what the hell is going on.

I'm not in a position to help organize people to come to Iowa again. I can't me a meetup leader again. My aid will be almost purely financial this go around.

I just know how important Iowa is, and I hope the campaign has a better plan in place. for those of us in the dark, all I can say is these threads are not morale boosters.

Just to clarify, no one is discouraging RonPaulNation and teacherone from continuing their work on the bus ride website, which will be needed regardless of who actually forms the PAC. Correct?

My conversations were not on behalf of any group or campaign and were and are off the record, off the cuff and of a casual exchange between individual persons. When we were getting the big Philly rally going, one organizer started a website saying RP would be there when he had not committed yet, though we had lined up other great speakers already. This put a lot of pressure on RP but pissed off the campaign.

I had some phone time with the campaign and their concern was having a lack of control over the rally - even though having that campaign staff having control back then did not give me any high hopes.

My take is the campaign is reading these forums and seeing the Iowa planning take off by the grassroots before they have their plan in place and they want to make sure the grassroots does not do anything that they think may be misguided.

Last election the grassroots did awesome and the campaign screwed up, but they are a top-down regime and they want their control.

At the same time they realize they know they can't piss the grassroots off.

What all this Iowa planning on RPF has done is motivate the campaign to get involved sooner than they had probably planned with Iowa, which is a good thing.

My hope this time around that the campaign staff is more along the lines of what Rand had last year, and not what Ron had in '07.

I can say with absolute certainty three things: We still need to proceed with our PAC and were strongly encouraged to do so. We will need fewer buses and tickets than planned. How many fewer is not for public posting, but fewer is the word. The Campaign is going to commit "a significant portion" of the “Ready Ames Fire” money bomb directly to “Tickets and Buses”. The media was taking note and the words “Potential Frontrunner” were used more than a few times.
