Tell you what - how about I e-mail the FEC and ask them to visit this thread and weigh in on their opinion - would you like that? Would it satisfy your curiosity? Are you so sure I am WRONG????

And if I am right - would you like to be resolvable for ~6 supporters going to prison?

People in this and other threads are in violation of federal regulations/laws and could go to jail as a result of it! - CUT IT OUT! The official campaign and the grassroots is being STUPID about this matter!

As a lawyer, I will answer this for you. The campaign cannot coordinate with any other campaign or committee. A PAC is a committee. Since they have no idea and no proof of who is, or is not on a committee, this is why they cannot, do not and will not, work with anyone who isn't a volunteer sitting in their offices and signed a CYA paper. Now, anything anyone actually just goes off and does on their own is between them, God and the FEC. You want to work on or with the campaign, show up, sign up and obey. They will let you do that. Ta ta.

My understanding (however limited) is that its only incorporated PACs that are regulated. Even if Josh has a corporation setup for this forum, as long as its not a PAC I'd think its fine for official campaign members to come here.

I'm waiting to hear Craig's side of the story, but in the meantime, what's your interpretation of what happened between him and the campaign? You say we've all been duped by the official campaign--can you elaborate?

never said duped by the official campaign and Craig is CERTAINLY NOT part of that! He may know some ppl there, but does not represent them. There is no reason to elaborate - he's an independent operator not officially attached to them.

Communications between "Steve" - "officially attached" and us, is of significant concern!

Communications between Rachel or Craig as reps of the grassroots and the "official campaign" are of significant concern.

No - but when I worked with the campaign last time, there were rules - this was #1! I could give them public info, like about what new meetups there were, which I was tracking, but we could not discus any plans they had or we had. We could not collaborate in any way.

That is the law. Never, ever cross that line!
