Thought y'all would want to know what Occupy DC thinks of Ron Paul

There are few things more alarming than sub-30-somethings rallying for their own enslavement... i.e. protesting against capitalism and private property.

And what is this 'my body is on license from god' stuff? He doesn't even want to admit that he owns his own body. That's dangerous, Bolshevik style rhetoric.

Clearly the Information Wars have begun! Large scale protests had to begin eventually and the powers that be are preemptively taking charge of them.

I guess I'm going to be the first person who is not a big fan, and I do appreciate what Kokesh has done in the past.

I've heard the 'demands' of OWS. Yes, they are socialist. Whether the demands speak for everyone, I cannot say.

I know one thing:

Without winning these people over, we are fucked. We might be already, but this doesn't help.

I pray that the republicans in other states are receiving Ron Paul very well, but in Georgia, from what I have seen, the Old Guard is alive and well, and we're going to need a shit-ton of independents and (yes) even democrats to flood the primary ballot boxes if Ron Paul has any chance of carrying this state. When you go out and intentionally point out those who have disdain for Ron Paul, even though it is truthful for those individuals, it does not do anything but fuel a divide between a potential (albeit, far-fetched) coalition.

I'd go so far as to wager I'd have a better chance of convincing an OWS protestor to vote for Ron Paul than I could trying to convince a Cain supporter to vote for Ron Paul.

Because I view the state differently. The State is not my enemy. Counterfeiters are my enemy. A world where some people have the privilege of creating money out of nothing enslaves everyone else. A lot of us are offended by the hate the state mantra. It divides. See my signature.

No Wesker. I was just thinking. This is the next generation; the one that is supposed to be accumulating all the tools they will need to actually function in the real world and do "great" things, maybe even improve the world, or at least our country. I am not optimistic about this guy and fear he is representative of the loud majority. :)

You didn't answer either of my questions, you simply stated that you get offended by ancaps because you identify with the state.

Problem with the two party system is how, in order to create two big ones, a lot of little parties have had to compromise away all their ethics and principles. When we bought into the two party system, we cheated ourselves. The real progress beyond The Declaration of Independence and The U.S. Constitution for the American people was the advent of the American Movement which were bipartisan efforts that returned the people to revering our Founding Fathers and the original establishment of our American Civil Purpose.

Yet, the brainless kid wants the government to do everything since all "rights" come from government. I also notice this delusional, made up idea that smaller government somehow means "no government at all" as the kid was arguing. First, no one including Ron Paul is advocating no federal government. Second, the last time I checked, state governments would be allowed to be big or small. It's called living in a Republic away from a centralized tyranny that we are currently FORCED to live in.
 
I just realized that the first sentence wasn't in a form of a question, so you can disregard my plural use of questions (though I still don't understand why you would agree with that statement if you did in fact realize what Adam was advocating.)

You seem to be implying that "the state" is a true god to be worshipped and that anarcho-capitalism is a heretical ideology.

I know Adam personally, and I wanted him to know that I appreciate his tireless work for liberty. I also wanted him to understand that I believe the State to be a beneficial construct for society. Adam knows that fiat money is the root of the problem and honest sound money is the solution as prescribed by Dr. Ron Paul. I'm encouraging him to stay focused and win rather than divide.
