I'd have to disagree that there's only one woman who really rocked. There were several. As for who rocked the most, I'd have to give it to Suzi Quatro.

IMO, the best rock-chick overall has got to be PJ Harvey, over a career.

The hardest rocking woman ever,ever, ever was Wendy O. Williams. Check out Butcher Baby, Black Leather Monster, Bump & Grind, Tight Black Pants among others.

The best unknown rocking-it woman is Katie Jane Garside of Queen Adreena. If you like real hard rock, do yourself a favor and check out Queen Adreena, they have killer albums - every song a strong song, the have one of the most awesome live shows ever, Katie is like a cross between Iggy Stooge and Kate Bush. Unfortunately, after decades of being ignored they are no more - Katie performs occasionally but Queen Adreena seems over - a tragedy that they never toured North America.
