The Superbowl has been CANCELED!!

What the hell is so wrong with enjoying a sporting event that has huge public inflated point spreads and using that to your advantage to cashing in a ticket ? Not to mention its a great time to hang around with your mates drinking some nice cold beers and eating some great food? Oh gee now that I come to think about it, I think Im going to not particapte in such a social event because it just Seems So Evil ,stupid and Awful ,and Im going to spend more time alone in my little bunker LOL!!!

Mark Dice will probably be watching the superbowl after some nice mate invites him to it this sunday LOL!!!:D

So....
Having fun is not allowed.
Only liberty.
Quite ironic, if you think about it.

No, you're allowed to "have fun," but only educational fun, and only a certain amount. If you have more fun than that, then you're a caveman.

Mark Dice is right. The Stooper Bowl is stupid.

Now March Madness on the other hand...is life or death. :D

Fooseball is the devil.

Mama also says alligators is ornery cuz they got all those teeth and no toothbrush.

Who are you betting on?

Right now The line is only -4 for the Colts with some books so for sure There worth the SU win or even on the spread. But by gameday if the colts become -8 point favs (which Id be surprised to see) then I will indeed sprinkle on the saints to cover the spread. The Real play I like in this game is for the total to hit 57.5 atleast by game time in some books or even a flat 58 and then I will have no prob pulling the trigger on the under if I can get that number even 57.5 is a good enough number for me to grab the under play.

So my official play for the Superbowl is bet the Under 58 or 57.5 on the total.

and if you like the Colts to win SU you may get some decent value right now at them being -4.5 favs. From what it looks like alot of Sharps have Steamed the line for the Saints predicting that the public will fall in love with the "saints story" again and may move the line even more leading up to gametime who knows. But I really dont care as My big play will be to try and grab a total of 58 and bet the under.

I've honestly been socially ostracized because someone asked me about a game the previous night and I respond with "Uh, I don't watch sports". They give me a weird look and then suddenly I'm not a "man" and no one speaks to me at work, ah well doesn't bother me I prefer working without distractions.

It's crazy how obsessed some people are obsessed with sports. They memorize stat after stat after stat. They watch these moronic pre-game and post-game shows with these ex-muscle heads pulling shit out of their asses.

The games have so many rules and regulations that they are so stale and boring, I find rugby and hockey usually the only sports I enjoy watching somewhat. Basketball is stale too and soccer as well, but football is the worst of them all IMO.

Just my 2 cents. Awesome videos, and sports really are the opiate of the people.

They draw in and appease mens tribal instincts so that they think they are going somewhere, yet they slowly loose more and more rights and dont give a shit as long as their team is playing. Prolefeed at its best. It's social manipulation.

Interesting. I really want to get into this stuff but haven't figured out the smart play yet. I've lost thousands of fake money. Everytime I think I have a formula it works for a short while and then doesn't - luckily I haven't bet real money yet.

What do you think of "Peyton Manning will score a touchdown in the second quarter" at -125. Bill Simmons was touting that bet on his podcast.

I tell ya, if it weren't for sports, I would have gone crazy a long while ago. I need something to keep me sane.

Sports are my anti-crazy.

I see the exact same thing happen all the time. It's disturbing to see how people react when they encounter a person that says they don't watch sports. It almost always results in the sports watcher bashing them in one way or another.

I can understand that, music and classic video games are the same for me. And you do need a form of escapism. But the amount of attention that these things have taken away from people. They wake up, go to work, talk about sports/video games/pop or movie stars, go home and turn on the TV to watch the same stuff or go fire up a game and play that mindlessly till they go to sleep, then wake up and do the same.
I can get in conversations about games often(though I play a lot of older games most people never played back in the day) and then I try bringing up something about the Federal Reserve. I always try to sneak little stuff in there. Like I go on about how shitty our pay is(I'm a cook at a local pizza parlor, student as well) and that leads to the economy and then I can bring up the Federal Reserve and Austrian economics. Sometimes I'm successful, sometimes I just get dumb awkward responses and I have to change the subject. But gotten a few people to look more into it(with me burning them dvds and printing up stuff), even let an older man whom is a driver for our place borrow my copy of End the Fed and he really enjoyed it.

Hey Mate your doing the right thing playing with "fake money" If you want to be a good sports handicapper it comes down to 2 things in my opinion first is "money management" which is I think the most important of all and then there is "line shopping" getting the best odds for the pick your making whether its from a local bookie,State runbook,Vegas,or offshore, getting the best odds for your buck is VERY important. IT dont matter who wins or loses the game as much as it does what kind of a deal you got on your "odds/line" Thats the key. Handicapping the actual game is very good to but not as important as those other steps .

As for your question about that props bet. with not much research it seems a good bet for sure, another one for the props card this sunday would be the completions of the QB I like manning to go over 24 or even 25 completions so My magic number im looking to get is 23.5 for manning but I will take the 24.5 as well for the over.

Sacks is also a nice prop bet if you get inflated numbers like say 5.5 for sacks on some dumb state run book LOL!!! I love playing fumbles over as a prop as the over is usually the "dog" pick and its comes in more times then people would think it does .

Anyway just keep trying to learn to manipulate the odds and you will do okay. A sports handicapper's best friend is the avg joe who make up the "public" as its these types of people us sharps ride to the bank when they inflate a point spread/line:D

Do you check out sites like Covers at all? There is some gems of info on those types of sites that have forums where people give some great insight into the games for free. And the most important weapon of all for you to have is the live Lines for atleast 5-6 books that gives you some great perspective of some value in a game you like.

Cheers and BOL mate!!!

Thanks Archie. Don't plan on quitting my day job but I love experimenting with this stuff. Best of luck come Sunday.

This is what I've always heard. The public always loses over time - so as long as I go against general consensus (if it's moving a line) I should win in the long run.

I sent you a PM mate talking about this stuff that isnt so much related to the thread.

I hope others were able to Cash in on my Big super bowl play being the under 58 or 57.5 on the total. The game ended well below the total and the under was indeed a great play just as I predicted.

Congrats on anyone who tailed my super bowl Under play:D
