I can't believe Kiev still functions as a "normal" big city.

Westerners fly in easy & out &. Drink/Eat & move about normally. of course they think Ukraine is winning when in that big city bubble.

Only cites like Kiev and others in Ukraine functions as a normal city but if you look at other places in Ukraine from the videos and news reports.
Yeah things arent going very well for Ukraine..

Its amusing how there are still some Ukrainian supporters who truly believe that

The Kursk offensive was a brilliant move and a huge embarrassment to Putin and Russia.
When considering the
Kursk offensive was a foolish decision which only resulted getting more Ukrainian soldiers killed and causing low troop morale amid while hanging over a troop shortage.

Russia knows the chances are next to nil that the UN security council with US, UK, France on it will allow Ukraine to be governed by the UN, even temporarly, which is Putin's latest official proposal.

The only way to interpret his prerogative is that Russia's talks with team Trump did not acheive a peace agreement, and also that the current government of Ukraine cannot be dealt with at all, and, to whatever extent Trump is adverse to Zelensky's dealmaking with the UK, France, Poland, Germany et. al. the question of integrity in regards to Trump is still there. Why? Due to the fact that Trump, even in light of Ukraine's intransigence will not completely abandon the Ukraine Project. It is not suspending military intelligence. Although more arms of any significance from the US are impossible now, because of Congress being against it, Trump is not abandoning Ukraine yet. That is the surest road to peace, and he's not taking it because the fact is that the corporations and banks that control America - and the UK and Macron's France - have big plans for Ukraine. Trump, when he expresses a desire to run Ukraine's nuclear power plants, or set up and extract its rare earth minerals, only reinforces the America commitment for a lasting footprint in Ukraine post-war - and this worries Russia and Belarus. Additionally, the West's banks and largest corporations have already scooped up Ukraine's farmland and business sectors - which Zelensky and his inner circle gave to them in exchange for personal bribes.

So, expect team Trump, Starmer and Macron and others to quickly put down Putin's idea, and the war to proceed more rapidly, as Russia needs to take the complete territory of the four oblasts and obliterate Ukraine's remaining forces to the degree that they are incapable of rebuilding within this generation.

Not that I wouldn't enjoy seeing Russia reduced in some manner and degree, but Trump needs to cut Ukraine loose. Ukraine brought this shit on themselves and if Russia decides on the nuclear option, literally, then the fur is going to fly and we will all find ourselves eating a world of bitter regret... those who survive, that is. The living may well come to envy the dead. This shit is gone to far and needs to stop before things happen that cannot be undone.

PS: Am I the only one who finds it endlessly irritating when the talking heads pronounce Kiev as "KEEV"? I must be getting old and cranky because I find myself wanting to bitchslap their dentures to the moon.

The nuclear option just isn't economical for Russia. They don't have a button they can press to win the war.

For one thing they want to take Ukraine so they can grow food there- it's a war of conquest- they don't want to poison the land they want to take.

Another thing is the materials needed to make bombs are already in use technically in order to fuel their war in a more efficient manner.

They use nuclear energy to keep the lights on in their war factories and keep their country going.

There is just simply a lot of wasted energy when you use nuclear that way especially when tnt is cheap.

Zelensky on 60 minutes said he will never accept Russian control of the conflict regions, and he wants US boots on the ground and in the air to secure a peace deal. He is absolutely psychotic and wants WWIII over his shit hole country.
