The RNC Rules Battle Continues -- NOW Push for RNC Rules Change

If the RNC's mission is too keep power and to make money through fundraising, why would they do anything differently. It's easy to separate fools from their money.

The GOP is screwing over the Tea Party/ Ron Paul type Republicans here in Illinois, not surprised they are doing it nationwide.

What is the delegate strategy this time around if these rules stick ?

We will keep fighting the rules, it is definitely not over, there will be several rnc meetings between now and 2016. If the RNC still doesn't budge then Rand will probably have to be the Romney of 2016.

They've backed off that for the time being here in MI, probably to not piss off the base and keep them from voting third party against the republican Governor who's up for reelection in 2014. Also, they know that JAmash is a force to be reckoned with and they know what happens when they mess with him: we roidrage all across the country.

Also, our Nat'l comman and woman both voted for the rules to be changed back. And, another good reason to become a precinct delegate in one's state whether they're active or not. Party officials and at large Nat'l delegates don't give a flip about what the average republican voter thinks in many respects but they definitely perk up when they hear from their field agents>>precinct delegates.

RNC Refused a recorded roll call vote.

Good video with some interviews of RNC members too.

Refused roll call? Then what is that list that was tweeted? NVM you mean full RNC I guess the list was just of the Rules Cee and Nat'l Committeemen and Women.

I don't know what the current status is of this, but a friend on FB has this on her wall and the original poster of it has it marked "public" so I have to assume he doesn't mind people seeing it.

I drafted this.... at the 2013 RNC Spring Meeting as a motion to try to get brought before the full RNC to just get done what needs to happen.

I like this one a lot because it spells out the real issue at hand, and we keep hearing over and over what our concerns are from people who have never asked us anything and are talking second or third hand based on things they heard, usually from the opposition.

I will add that while many have focused on the teleprompter or the lack of a record vote, I don't personally see those as the primary issues. The thing that spoiled the vote is the refusal to allow debate. Claims that we who were objecting didn't understand that we were under House Rules instead of Robert's Rules are ridiculous, and obviously so, primarily because House Rules protect the right to debate even better than Robert's Rules do. While I was at the mic objecting there was at least one time when an establishment person came to me with Robert's Rules in hand and I had to point out we were under House Rules, and it was a surprise to them.

The reality is that the people making those arguments don't know the first thing about House Rules (certainly not any more than they've been told by other people and just accepted). House Rules are not used because of any provisions they actually have, but because they are used to people not learning them so that they can make this excuse and not be called out on it.

The motion didn't go anywhere yet, but the saga continues...
