The oficially **official** Vance vs. Walz "debate" thread

The trial was nothing but a DNC campaign stunt. They wanted to (blatantly falsely) claim they are "fair and balanced" and that "no one is above the law". They also want to make gun control an issue, as it's the only issue they can run on besides abortion.

DNC = CCP.

Guns and abortion? Check...

So nice that Vance and Walz agree that the Federal government should pay for childcare...

(But only Vance got a follow-up from the moderator of "but how will that lower child care costs"?)

I have no idea why any GOP, or Libertarian politician for that matter, would agree to participate in these dog and pony shows any more.

They are not debates in any true sense of the word, they are nothing more than staged puppet shows designed by the Marxist media organs to generate negative sound bites and "gotchas" to be used against them.

Yeah, we can ask that question forever. Evil Party vs. Stupid Party is about the best explanation I can think of at the moment.

This will be as interesting as a Pence/Kaine debate where you couldn't slip a feeler gauge between them when it comes to liberty issues.

Vance is probably the second most anti-interventionist Senator next to Rand Paul.

Vance was poised, gave great answers that the American people will like and Walz was flustered throughout.

One comment I heard was that for people who are undecided, they probably all wish that the VPs in the debate were at the top of the ticket.

Vance made the point that Walz would be better than Kamala Harris... that was very persuasive I think.

Vance's weakest moment was on the abortion topic, but I'm not sure there was much more he could do with it. I think he dodged the landmines and made it through that part.

Vance did a good job of not totally blowing it.

It didn't matter if Walz blew it or not.

The election is mostly already decided.

When Vance actually starts fact-checking the moderators with how the 'asylum' status actually works, they get all pissy and cut to another topic. That's when I quit watching.

If it had been me on that stage, I'd have walked off and let them figure out what to do with the next hour or so of dead-air. CBS is a damned joke. Didn't even give the candidates a chance to introduce themselves before they pop a hypothetical about Israel launching a pre-emptive strike and seeing how candidates would respond. Gotta hurry up and get the most important question out of the way, I guess.

Only watched a few minutes but JD Vance is very sharp & has composure.

If presentation accounts for anything, Vance won hands down.

Comparison is like needing a car and you can choose between a rusted out Chevette with 300,000 miles or a very well kept Prelude with 40,000 miles.
