You do realize that, by design, it's difficult to amend the constitution right? Look at your own example of the 14th amendment. It only came about as a result of the civil war. And it really only codified what had been the understanding of how one became a citizen going all the way back to before the U.S. exisited! That's right. The U.S. always had birthright citizenship. The only problem was the Dred Scott decision declared black people, slave or free, to not be citizens. So once again, racism caused the very problem that now racists want to "solve." There was no such thing as an "illegal immigrant" Chinese Exclusion Act of 1882.
