The GOP will change its tune on Donald Trump. Just wait.

Declassifying the 28 pages would be well worth it. Using the NSA to spy on the CFR would be great too. I'm with Cantwell, unleash the hounds of hell!

Be careful what you wish for. I do not know how much of a authoritarian Trump would be as President. But after witnessing this election, I understand better how dictators like Castro and Hitler were able to gain support from the people. I honestly thought it could never happen in this country. Scary to think that it might just happen.

When the powers that be make things so bad for the people at large that there is nothing left to lose, and they're taking their last stab at the ballot box before engaging in armed revolution, this is what it looks like.

Not to the extent of the mass exodus of plants from the US. You can still automate and remain here, there are still jobs to be had in plants with automation.

He is not for "single payer". He has been preaching this "health care competition across state lines" and instead of Obamacare providing some sort of coverage for the homeless. This is what Obama and Romney could have done for the poor rather than screw with everyone's health care.

This is far better than the status quo even before Obamacare was passed it would have been far better just to open up competition and make a deal with the Democrats with Medicare or hospital contracts to cover the indigent.

Listen to this man! He is a great Klingon warrior!

Wouldn't that be ironic if their own system was used to end their dominance for which it was created to maintain.

The only way to beat them is to delegitimize their authority and essentially detach them from the consent of the governed. You do this by exposing all their secrets in whatever manner possible. Sowing chaos from the executive branch is a whole lot easier than from where I am sitting.

I definitely agree that the GOP leadership will be able to work with Trump if he wins.

I don't support Trump, I think the people who do are wrong, overly optimistic or naive. I sincerely hope I'm wrong, there are times I do agree with some of the stuff he says but I just can't see myself supporting him.

We'll see what happens.

If you hold any position whatsoever there will be times that you agree with some of the stuff he says, because he's been on both sides of every issue.

All I'm saying is that Cruz and Rubio cannot claim moral high ground when they have done nothing about all the issues they talk about now. Nothing. They are sitting senators. If anyone had the power to start a discussion or sponsor legislation, they did. And they have done nothing.

That is all you needed to say. Please, tell us again why you're here?

For the record I am not voting for Trump. Or anybody else.

That said, it's time to get off the high horse about people who will vote for Trump. The other alternatives are Cruz, Rubio, Kasich, Sanders, and Clinton. Every one of these is a 100% guaranteed nightmare. If Trump is only 99% guaranteed nightmare there's at least a tiny bit of hope that gets to live that the next four years might arrest the march of global slavery.

The only other option is the one I'm taking, which is not to legitimize the farce any further by continuing to participate in it.

NONE of you have any better ideas. If you had, you'd be promoting them instead of just bashing the people trying to pick the least horrible of a set of truly repulsive options.

You might see Trump as a 99% chance of being a nightmare, but many of us here see him at least 101% chance of being worse than a nightmare, a nightmare you never wakeup from.

Being from a suburb of NYC originally, I've known of Donald Trump for well over a quarter century. He's been a cultural icon at least that long.

I could not possibly imagine him being as bad as you fear, or worse than any of the other possibilities. The view that you and others who have this extreme and particular fear of Trump have is a form of hysteria not grounded in fact nor reason. I mean, gas chambers and mass exterminations? From a guy who has spent his whole life in the most Jewish part of the USA? Never happen. Fear is the mind killer, as the saying goes.

The worst case scenario for a Trump presidency would be for him to be just as bad as the others. The best case scenario would be him being somewhat like Ike Eisenhower.

You can't have a 101% chance.

It's an excellent expression of what is going on in the minds of people who are thinking that way.

Of course, coming from "LatinsForPaul", I suspect his or her first allegiance is not to the people of the United States, but to his/her own ethnicity and or a foreign power. So in the sense that Trump may well stop the invasion from Central America, there are possibilities that would indeed be beyond nightmarish, from the point of view of someone whose loyalties are not with us.
