Everyone's talking about all the abuse Trump's suffering, but he isn't suffering one bit. Only his supporters are.

I'm capable of empathizing with people even when they bring their problems on themselves -- and the rest of us too. I don't know which alarms me more -- the people so partisan that they can't do the same, or the people so caught up in celebrity worship that they think the fact that Trump's supporters are suffering has any impact on him whatsoever.

If the bad guys are targeting you, then that makes anything you do, no matter what, right. Right?

Not sure I qualify as anti-Trump, but HELL NO I'm not ok with this! What they are doing to Trump and those who support him (which is more than 1/2 the country) is horrendous! My issues with Trump have always been on his policies, his decision-making skills, and his ability to be influenced by the same people who are doing this to him and his supporters. Somehow, he's able to slide through, but there is a path of damage in his wake that seems to be undeniable.

The problem here, once again, is that government is too powerful. Each side wants the ability to control that power and it seems neither side is much interested in reducing that power. Face it, there is no savior here. We are all on the waiting list to be approached and interrogated by the government. Our reaction when that happens will determine our fate. Record and publish the interactions. Until we have a President Massie, it's the best we can do.

How we are reacting now is determining our fate.

If we are fine with doing unto others as they want to do to us, we continue this spiral. If we remember that we can only get as much liberty as we give, we can turn our backs on any divide and conquer tactics, no matter how many channels and sites sell it.

Let's face it. Trump is in no way promising to put a stop to this crap. He's just offering to baste the goose in the same boiling grease she's pouring on the gander.

Unfortunately, humans are about as predictable as any other animals, and just about as likely to target the car because they're mad at the driver...
