George Bush is assigning AMERICAN TROOPS to American Soil for purposes that are ILLEGAL! They are preparing for civil unrest because they know the economy is going to collapse.

this new mission marks the first time an active unit has been given a dedicated assignment to NorthCom, a joint command established in 2002 to provide command and control for federal homeland defense efforts and coordinate defense support of civil authorities.

This action CLEARLY violates the Posse Comitatus Act:

The whole text of the relevant legislation is as follows:
Sec. 1385. - Use of Army and Air Force as posse comitatus
Whoever, except in cases and under circumstances expressly authorized by the Constitution or Act of Congress, willfully uses any part of the Army or the Air Force as a posse comitatus or otherwise to execute the laws shall be fined under this title or imprisoned not more than two years, or both.

Of course, in 2006, George Bush attempted to circumvent the rule of law and the constitution with this little dandy:

HR5122 also known as the John Warner Defense Authorization Act was signed by the president on Oct 17, 2006 John Warner National Defense Authorization Act for Fiscal Year 2007. Section 1076 Text of Hr5122 is titled "Use of the Armed Forces in major public emergencies". Removing the legalese from the text, and combining multiple sentences, it provides that: The President may employ the armed forces to restore public order in any State of the United States the President determines hinders the execution of laws or deprives people of a right, privilege, immunity, or protection named in the Constitution and secured by law or opposes or obstructs the execution of the laws of the United States or impedes the course of justice under those laws. The actual text is on page 322-323 of the legislation. As of 2008, these changes were repealed, changing the text of the law back to the original 1878 wording, under Public Law 110-181 (H.R. 4986, Section 1068,) however in signing H.R. 4986 into law President Bush attached a signing statement which indicated that the Executive Branch did not feel bound by the changes enacted by the repeal.

This is really no surprise as this president in particular has shown no concern for the rule of law or the constitution and seems determined to expand the power of the executive WELL beyond what the constitution allows.

In short - the constitution is dead.

"Let us not deceive ourselves, sir. These are the implements of war and subjugation; the last arguments to which kings resort. I ask gentlemen, sir, what means this martial array, if its purpose be not to force us to submission? Can gentlemen assign any other possible motive for it? Has Great Britain any enemy, in this quarter of the world, to call for all this accumulation of navies and armies? No, sir, she has none. They are meant for us: they can be meant for no other. They are sent over to bind and rivet upon us those chains which the British ministry have been so long forging." Patrick Henry

dirty neocons!

The Neocons have found another position in which to gang-rape the Constitution.

I imagine that the "cleanest" way they will drive the final nail into the constitution (i.e. lose all pretense of it's validity), is to make the declaration that the USA is officially defunct. No longer exists. Bankrupt to the point that it is no longer an entity. No USA, therefore no constitution. An interim "emergency" government will be set up, enforced by the UN and NATO. After years and decades of the new government, new media, new schools, etc., the USA and the constitution will be proclaimed an "experiment that failed" and everyone will be convinced that it could never again rise from the ashes. Sort of like how they now teach that secession was tried and failed and is no longer an option.

Yesterday, before I left for work @ 2pm I made a "sign" on my word processor in large font that said: "10-03-2008 The Day The Consistution Died R.I.P." I scotched taped it to the rear window of my vehicle. Today my plans include taking a 4x6 section plywood we have and painting the same thing and putting it out front of my house. It will go well with my 8x5 Ron Paul Revolution Banner on my fence and my large Hope For American sign still on my proch railing. I will not remove them. Oh, I do live on Main St. in my little town here in PA. On another note I was on vacation for 2 weeks just got back on Sunday. No computer acess and was chomping at the bit having to watch MSM as the bailout unfolded. When I returned to work my coworkers were waiting to hear what my thoughts were. Apparently, my views were a topic of conversation while I was gone or more importantly Ron Pauls' views because that's who I represent. So, people are listening, finally. Peace..

I work outside of a navy base. I talk to 17-25 yr old kids every single day. I ask as many as I can a simple question..

'You swore an oath to defend the Constitution from enemies foreign and domestic. What is your first amendment right?'

In the past week, one kid knew his rights. ONE. If they dont know it, I ask them to imagine I was their commanding officer asking the same question. I tell them that its important to know and understand your rights and if they swear to defend something they should at least know the Bill of Rights. Sometimes I feel like its useless.. then I remember a peaceful little old lady that raised me to believe in freedom. I wont quit educating.. I love America and our Constitution.

The Constitution is dead because our people dont respect it enough to know what rights are. They dont love it enough to fight for it. Ignorance is what killed our Constitution.

In short - the constitution is dead.
I strongly disagree!

The US Constitution (that's capitalized!) is alive and well, it simply needs to be enforced by the people under the Declaration of Independence.

I refuse to accept any defeatist's view!

It is time to enforce the rule of law!
