Let your heart feel for the afflictions and distress of everyone, and let your hand give in proportion to your purse.

We've heard about the Thanksgiving food drive (scheduled for Wednesday) and are planning for one sometime before Christmas. This is a wonderful thing to do! Not only will this give us a chance to get Dr. Paul's name and message out there, but it is an opportunity to further our Revolution and take back our country from the increasingly burdensome welfare state.
Unfortunately, hunger won't go away after a one-time food drive. But everybody knows that we "Paulites" can be quite persistent.
All it takes is some organization and commitment. Hence, I've created a website to use as a starting point for organizing these future food drives.
http://www.freedomtogive.org
It's still under construction, but there's already a lot up. I'm going to be adding strategies for holding successful food drives, as well as handouts that you can distribute and use. I'm also looking for at least one volunteer from each state to help organize meetup groups within their state that would like to be part of these food drives. Organization is EXTREMELY important in charitable functions, so if this is going to get off the ground we're going to need committed people who are willing to take charge.
This grassroots effort will be invaluable at getting Dr. Paul's name out to the locals who haven't yet heard of them (I'm looking forward to converting everyone who shops for groceries in my home county), and it will also be helpful at spreading our small-L libertarian way of thinking among the general populace.
But, first things first. We need a date. If we're thinking pre-Christmas, I'd suggest we begin the food drives the week before (Christmas is on a Sunday this year, so we could begin the actual drive Saturday the 17th or Sunday the 18th). The amount of time it takes to complete the drive will depend on the way that you hold it, but we could plan to drop off the donations in mass on Friday, December 23. I know this is a very busy time for everyone though, so it may be difficult to get a large amount of participation. That's why I'd like as much input on this subject as possible.
Please spread the word with your meetups about this effort and keep this thread bumped! Everyone seems to think the "Paulites" are a bunch of crazy anarchists... let's show them our true determination and love of our Country!
