The “Exclusive Citizenship Act of 2025” would make it so that an individual may not be a citizen or national of the U.S. while simultaneously possessing any foreign citizenship.

If passed, a U.S. citizen who holds foreign citizenship would have to relinquish their U.S. citizenship after the date of enactment.

Those who possess dual citizenship would have to submit a written renunciation of foreign citizenship to the Secretary of State or a written renunciation of U.S. citizenship to the Secretary of Homeland Security, no later than one year after the enactment of the act

An individual who doesn’t comply will be deemed to have voluntarily relinquished United States citizenship.

Well, I think this is a step too far. I would like to see duals prohibited from certain offices AND roles within the Federal outlay,
but to ban ALL dual citizenship is flat-out ridiculous.

They'll do just the opposite. They'll make Congress immune.

They may see this backfire. Many are sick of the taxes and will renounce US citizenship.

Banning dual citizenship is ridiculous during peace time but only if you can imagine that we will always be in peacetime forever.

The 5th generation ideological civil war we have been in has already been really tough.

A lot of people with loyaltys to other nations that don't really have loyalty to the USA leaves our country open to subversion.
