Hmm didn't know about Palin until now, interesting.

If Hillary is the democrat, this might be a good pick, it would challange thinking women that want a woman elected to higher office, but are against the war.
Would be a good balance to the ticket

Wiki says
"In July 2007, Gov. Palin was heralded in the media as being the most popular governor in the United States, with an approval rating often in the 90s."

She is better looking than Hillary and brings youth to the ticket.

Is she a good speaker?

Since so many have voted "Someone else" I suggest someone make a new poll that reflects better the suggestions that have been made.

He's from the south.

South Carolina in fact which winning the state would be a major coup.

He shares some of Paul's view of fiscal responsibility.

He seems like a nice southern boy, that's the way he comes across. He talks plainly and honestly.

I still don't know much about him, but these are good reasons to consider.

If RP gets the nomination, he isn't going to need to worry about SC. The Republican nominee could nominate Kucinich and STILL win South Carolina.

And although Ron Paul was not born in the South, he's lived in Texas for what, the past thirty or forty years?

Sanford is damaged goods. Don't tell me he's one of us when he was just smooching with Jeb Bush not two weeks ago.

I personally think so many people say Sanford because that's what they've heard the media kevetching about, nothing more.

I think we need someone that represents different backgrounds, but the same philosophy: Napolitano

Paul: Protestant/Episcopalian (I don't know Christianity, so if I'm saying something stupid tell me), Napolitano: Catholic

Paul: white, southern, Napolitano: Italian/immigrant/northern (New Jersey)

Also, Napolitano's got a great personality and is already respected amongst conservatives for his work for Fox News. I watched Fox News enthusiastically (sorry...) for years, and never had a clue Napolitano didn't like Bush. And Fox News could not possibly ignore one of its most lovable/intelligent/well-known contributors running for Vice President.

Yes, as far as Vice President vs. Attorney General, I think he'd be a better Attorney General. But, my priority is getting Paul elected, and having Napolitano's face and voice all over the media can help in that cause.

It both saddens and angers me when people say, "But let's have a DIVERSE ticket! You know, like...Catholic and Proestant. *nodnod* And one guy will be a WASP and the other one will be -- wait for it -- Italian! Brilliant! That'll really send the message that the Republican Party is for everybody."

Sadly I think his credibility has taken a hit after being in the Bush administration. He was also one of those that were out beating the drums of war. Before that he might have been a top 3 choice...now I doubt he makes the top 10 if at all.

True but has was also ostracized by Bush when he didnt agree with him. I think that shows he was only reporting the intel they had available and he didnt agree with Bush once he knew. I think its important we have someone with a military background, the terrorist issue is important.

I would wet myself if Clint Eastwood was VP. But, we don't even have an endorsement from him yet.

What do you guys think of Tom Coburn, the Senator from Oklahoma?

He's about the only other person in Congress that I trust.

The "Remarkable Man" Ed Thompson.
He considered a presidential bid this year, as did his brother Tommy Thompson.

We need to choose someone that, if for any reason, Ron Paul passes during the presidency, will not crack under lobbying pressure or threat.

walter williams. we need great economists in the top positions. i think it would also help counter the ridiculous claim that ron is a racist.

Chuck Hagel? I first liked him after seeing him on Bill Maher, but I looked into his record, and now I don't know. Im thinking Pat Buchanan.
