Harris Has Picked Tim Walz as VP Running Mate

Obama picked Biden as his running mate because he was dumber than he is. Biden picked Harris as his running mate because she's dumber than he is. Kamala picked Walz as her running mate because he's dumber than she is.

So it seems that they are marketing Walz as the moderate, Midwestern, mild, white man. At this point with the leftist DEI norm, we should call him "Token Tim".

LoL, with a record that makes Bernie Sanders blush.

But of course, that doesn't matter.

Harris's record is to the left of Bolshevik Bernie's as well.

Tim Walz: I have a golden rule. Mind your own damn business.

Also Tim Walz: Here's a hotline you can call to snitch on your neighbors if they break Covid lockdown protocol.

After Democrat Vice President Kamala Harris chose Minnesota Governor Tim Walz to be her running mate, more information is being spread on social media regarding his history. Now I think the memes are counter productive, as claims of his stolen valor are much more damaging to their campaign.

The bill’s language states that “the products must be available to all menstruating students” in grades four through 12
Yes, it does.

Walz signs bill requiring schools to stock period products in boys’ bathrooms
Do you really think that's what the law does? It took me all of 20 seconds to find out it doesn't. It's easy enough to debunk; all you have to do is find one Minnesota school district that doesn't put period products in all-boys bathrooms. There's a number of news portals that have done that work for you. It's actually more difficult to find a school district that DOES put period products in boys-only bathrooms (I haven't yet - gave up trying - you'd think the people putting the memes together would come up with a list; but I haven't found one).

But the meme won't go away despite that. Claims like this go over well with the socially conservative faithful (who aren't going to vote for any Democrat, anyway). And I'll admit that there's a portion of the "undecided" voters that can be swayed by gender arguments like this. That is until those claims are debunked, which tends to push those voters away from the charlatans making the claims. I suppose the hope, on the part of GOP strategists, is that those undecided voters are too stupid to check out the reality of the situation. There's a lot of people who will believe lies if you repeat them enough. Just one more reason to be against voting - the party with the greatest appeal to stupid voters is the one which will prevail (I'm pretty sure we've already got that one on our list PAF)

CNN reports:
All 15 of the districts that responded Friday to a CNN survey of 25 districts, including the Minneapolis and St. Paul districts in the state’s two most populous cities, said they comply with the law without providing tampons in traditional boys’ bathrooms.

Kevin Burns, a spokesperson for Mankato Area Public Schools, the district where Walz was a high school teacher before entering politics, told CNN that schools there are satisfying “the letter and intent of the statute,” which Burns called “very clear,” by providing menstrual products in “traditional female and gender-neutral restrooms” as well as school nurses’ offices, not boys’ bathrooms.

“St. Cloud Area Schools provides free period products in female-only restrooms, designated gender-neutral restrooms, and from school health-care offices. Period products are not provided in male-only designated restrooms,” said Tami DeLand, a spokesperson for that district in central Minnesota.

“We have provided free tampons and pads to all in ‘nongendered’ student restrooms and girls’ restrooms for grades 4 and up. They are also available from health staffers. We do not have menstrual products in boys’ bathrooms,” said Toya Stewart Downey, a spokesperson for the Robbinsdale district in the suburbs of Minneapolis.

“The Rosemount-Apple Valley-Eagan Public Schools provides menstrual products in girls’ bathrooms and gender-neutral bathrooms, not boys’ bathrooms,” said Tony Taschner, a spokesperson for the Twin Cities-area suburban district. “If we are aware of transgender students who need menstrual products and use the boys’ bathrooms, school staff would work with these students individually on a case-by-case basis.”

Scott Croonquist, executive director of Minnesota’s Association of Metropolitan School Districts, which says its 52 member districts educate more than half of public school students in the state, said Friday: “Our interpretation of the law is the same as what you have heard from the people you have talked to in school districts. The law does NOT require menstrual products in boys’ bathrooms.”

It’s certainly possible that some Minnesota schools do provide tampons in traditional multi-stall boys’ bathrooms; the state has more than 300 school districts in all, and CNN communicated with a small fraction of them this week. But Trump’s claim is that Walz signed a law that requires all Minnesota schools to provide tampons in their boys’ bathrooms — and that’s clearly wrong.

So find a Minnesota school district that has put period products in boys-only bathroom, and then you can make the claim that "SOME Minnesota school districts have complied with the law by putting period products in boys-only bathrooms" ... but even if you can find one, that's not going to be on Walz, it's going to be on the individual school district.

Beyond that is the fiscally conservative issue: Should schools be on the hook to provide free menstrual period products to students? That's what the bill signed into law by Walz was about. So go ahead and try to argue against free menstrual period products; it makes as much sense as arguing against free toilet paper. I don't see any memes about that issue though, so I guess it's not a campaign issue. Maybe point out that the Consumer Price Index has risen 21% since 2019, while the price of tampons has risen 36% and the price of sanitary pads has risen 41% in the same timeframe (see what Biden/Harris-nomics has done for women?). Poor families are having to make the choice between buying groceries and period products for their daughters (again, doesn't seem to be a campaign issue). Oooo0 - let's ask Harris if she plans on putting price controls on period products (I can't wait to see the tampon shortages developing - and the ensuing hoarding - store shelves devoid of period products just like TP during the COVID heyday). Real issues, not imaginary ones.

Do you want to know why they don't put free tampon dispensers in boys' bathrooms? If they did, boys would be flushing handfuls of them to clog up the toilets
