RPF Pets!

When I was a kid we had an orange tabby named Mr. Smith (from Lost in Space - because he was an asshole)- BEST cat ever, he mostly stayed outside but he hated the rain and my Mom refused to put a litter box in the house so the cat taught himself how to pee in the toilet, no kidding. Went to the bathroom one day and there he was, peeing in the toilet. I love the orange tabby but my husband's allergic to cats, so we have a dog, he's an almost blind, 14 year old cocker/chow mix named Rip.

ETA The tortoiseshell is named "Freso" short for "Free Sovereign" (the basic nature of a cat) and the red tabby is named "Rad" short for "Free Radical" but usually gets called "Radical Cat." I only intended to adopt Freso but her litter-mate brother couldn't find a home so a week and a half later I adopted Radical Cat also. These two are BUCK WILD. they can usually be seen as blurry orange and grey streaks orbiting inside the house like electrons in a high energy state.

We have three cats. Here are Pete and Blackie (can you guess which one is Blackie? :D )

And the demon cat, Ferdie:

We also have 4 chickens, but this one is my favorite. She is a Rhode Island Red named Polly:

Her name is...."Calico" (my son was 5 when he named her that, because ....:)

This pic was from 2010 (newest that I found on my PC). She's about 8 years old here.

When she was just getting about full size (pretty young) she challenged me. One evening I was watching TV and she came from behind and latched onto my head with four sets of claws and one mouthful of teeth. I gently swept here from from head, through the air and just shy of the fireplace, she landed gently. Then that night, she waited for me to go to sleep, but I kept one ear open, figuring we weren't don yet, and yep, she jumped right into my chest and had her front claws and mouth ready, but I "popped" her straight in to the air to almost the ceiling. From then on, I was the boss :D

Polly is a pretty hen. My oldest son had a pet Rhode Island Red named Henrietta, he would walk her on a leash sometimes. I don't think I have any pictures of her.
