RP will come in 1st in NH!!!

I think we need to hope to get third, given that it appears that RP is dropping in the polls and Huckabee has momentum from Iowa

Virtually all your posts have been negative. What's up with that?

You mean my posts in two threads today? Other than that, I don't remember any of my other posts being negative. Secondly, what's your point? Keep trying to get everyone on here to drink the kool-aid... we need more realists on here. I bet most of the people calling my out on my negative post today were all saying how Ron was going to get first place in Iowa because they "didnt poll people with cellphones" and he was going to get at least "30%" of the vote.

Regarding conversation about last nights debate, my Dad, a Bush repub. who only knows about RP by what my husband and I tell him, happens to like Ron but he is unfortunately a big fox guy, so its really tough to convince him of anything (he likes hannity, oreilly, -e nuff said). Anyhow, he said (this is just some insight on a non die-hard RP viewer) that Ron really needs to work on expressing his points, which are really technical, and that most Americans wont understand what hes talking about. He said that he needs to finish explaining what he starts. I commented that they kept cutting him off, without a chance, (FU to them- ugh- watching it again, makes me SUPER sick and mad). My parents said Romney of all is such a good speaker, yadda yadda (they are falling for him, gross). So, this is perspective from Faux people. My dad said that he needs to be more precise and have his points down to just a small few, and hammer them home clearly. I guess that makes sense, but to me, he did that on some occasions, but then again, i am a die hard fan...who can recite lines of his youtubes an such.

On the other hand, my (normally liberal) in-laws who ARE voting for Ron Paul, said he did GREAT last night, and looked the best of all of them. My MIL loved the comment about how Ron mentioning how Obama supporters are converting to his side. (unfortunately, they agree that this is a conspiracy and Ron will never get elected due to MSM, Bush, conspiracies, 911, etc etc...)

MIL also explained she was at the nail salon in town, and all the women were talking about who they support (they all support Obama, btw), and they ask my MIL who she supports (she did us proud) she said " the only one who i agree with on every topic/subject" and they said "WHO??"... She said "Ron paul" ... and they all say "WHO??????" Ugh, another problem!!! None of them knew who he even was!!!!!!!

Same goes for my aunts from NY/VA, same goes for my Grandparents (who only know RP and his fans as cooks from faux). FAUX is disgusting, i am sick.

sigh :(

So, that is just some insight on the happenings in my family here in NY.... dont mean to be depressing, but this is just pissing me off and needed to vent ...

How about we just shoot for 10% again...

Insane expectations of 1st are no good for us.

NH is libertarian central. There's no doubt in my mind that NH is ours.

My concern is how we can use a NH win to boost our support in the rest of the country.

3rd is the best we can shoot for. If we can't get 3rd we can't get any momentum into nevada, south carolina.

Polls can change 20% points in one day, so there is a potential for a first place finish and campaigning left to do.

If he gets first place, that's great, but we need to be prepared to keep on working just as hard if he comes in 5th. I've been hearing people use low poll numbers as an excuse to bail out of the movement. If we pump expectations up, I'm worried about discouraging some of the younger people, who don't realize this is a several decades long fight!

Some of you on here are trying to spin Tuesday already as if it isn't crucial. It is vital Ron finish 3rd or higher, or it will take a miracle for him to be nominated. Here is why I say this:

New Hampshire is 40% Independent. Ron won 29% of Independent votes in Iowa. If Ron cannot place in a state that is 40% Independent, that loves Mavericks, where the motto is "Live Free or Die", then there is no way he is going to win any other state.

Everyone in New Hampshire interested in politics at all knows who Ron Paul is now. That excuse does not fly in NH.

Ron Paul has gotten time on ABC, CNN, and NBC this weekend. I don't think you can claim media blackout before this primary. Anyone out there going to say WMUR hasn't been fair to him? They have done tons of pieces on him.

We have had so many volunteers and people calling in New Hampshire that there have been requests to stop. There is no shortage of manpower in the Ron Paul campaign there.

If the voting process is rigged and unfair, guess what? Those of you in the know there need to make sure Ron gets some rigged votes too. Just like when the U.S. developed nukes, was that "fair"? Did Russia sit around crying about it for 20 years? No, they found a way to get nukes of their own, they adapted. So for those of you whining about conspiracies and rigged polls and what not, fight fire with fire. If you know a poll is rigged, and you know how it's done, do it for Ron.

I have donated about $800, I have called Iowa voters, I have waved signs, I have talked to friends and family, I have posted literally thousands of times online about Ron. If he finishes lower than 3rd, all he's getting from me from here on out is my vote in the primary. I love Ron Paul, but I need some proof he's going to rise above the 10% barrier.

I believe people will see right through them( the other presidential candidates). They are 2 face, no good, double crossing jerks. They will see that President Ron Paul is the genuine article. They will vote President Ron Paul.

I am in NH and people are flipping out over last night's debate. They were apalled at the way the other candidates acted. I have seen several Mitt Romney supporters and Obama supporters that have switched to RP.

This will be re-enforced by being left out of tonights debate.

Pray for first
Hope for Second
Be happy with third
Be content with fourth
Be angry with fifth
Be violent (JOKE!!) with sixth :)

I think 15% of the vote is a good place to be happy with. More than McCain and Zzzzz... did in Iowa.

The only way we'll come in first is if you make sure those people actually show up to vote.
