RP will come in 1st in NH!!!

Stay positive and composed as it appears McCain is going to take NH. We need to stay focused on taking 15% or higher tuesday. Even with a 2nd place finish Mitt will be severely wounded and probably a helpless candidate. If Huckabee finishes behind us as does Guiliani and Thompson, there is no perceived front runners going forward. This is when Ron Paul's money and grassroots power kicks in and he consistantly compete for 3rd or better in SC, MI, NV and FL. Obviously Ron has to win SC or NV to have a likely shot of competing for the nomination.

RonPaulDivers... where on the SWFL GC? I live on Marco.

LaBelle area. I just started a new meetup for Hendry/Glades counties too...check it out. Are you not seeing Ghouli ads on the networks here? I don't have cable or satellite, only rabbit ears!!

Totally stumbled onto Ron via the internet...but most people I know don't have as much time as I do to be online, so they really need to see him on TV!!!

I hope you are right but..

I am extremely skeptic of the claims we will get 1st in New Hampshire and it doesn't seem realistic. There is just so much stacked against us.

1. The 5th place in Iowa. I don't think it will hurt Ron, but it definitely won't drag in as many as we would like

2. Media blackout and spin. They don't talk about him, others won't think of him.

3. Other candidate mocking Ron Paul. Stupid as they sound, when you have 4 people giggling around him, people will generally not take him serious, and more of a sideshow.

4. The Polls. They put Ron in 3rd and on through down to 5th. You may say its only registered Republicans are they are skewed or whatever, but they represent closely nonetheless I believe and go hand-in-hand with #2

5. Independent. Yes, Ron appeals to Independents more than the other Republicans. But most of those Independents will be voting Democrat.

6. Ron Paul. I love him. I agree with just about everything he says. But Fred Thompson is not standing on that stage and place barely ahead of Ron because of his strong principles and legislature. He is there because he is a TV/movie star. Ron's only notoriety is "Is he is the Anti-War Republican old guy who talks about printing money." Quoted from my Grandmother.

The list could go on, but it is irrelevant. If you are right, and I pray you are, This would truly be a day to celebrate. Is the populace ready to think that differently this late in the game though if NH points at Ron?

I think saying Second, maybe Third would be better. An if we get 1st well party hearty all round. I will dance no matter where I am when I find out.

I can't say. I am finishing up my last semester of law school here in ft lauderdale. I was over there over christmas but didn't watch too much TV.

Get real. Look at the polls. On most polls we don't even get double digits. They won't get up to 30+% in just a few days. You are raising false expectations, just to be depressed when reality hits you with the votes coming in.

I thought people here were able to argue. Instead everybody is attacked as "troll".

The zogby poll done just before Iowa put Ron at 10%, which was accurate.

The latest NH zogby poll places Paul at 7%, the timeframe for the poll was 12/31-1/3.

I've learned my lesson about blind optimism after Iowa. My heart can't take that level of anger I felt when I first heard that he got 5th. I hope zogby is way off, but, I'll just wait and see.

Iowa was a state that the campaign never expected to do that well in. Its largely evangelical christian with a lot of people easily swayed by populist rhetoric.

New Hampshire has a far more active and intelligent voting population (sadly, Primary turnout won't be a huge benefit to us. alone).

I'm honestly hoping that we get 3rd or Higher which really gives us some good momentum and keeps this campaign growing. I think Romney will plummet after the debate debacle (sadly, Huckabust will rise).

I have nodoubt that he will take 1st here in New Hampshire.

His support is phenominal!

Hunter

p.s. And before you all ask again, 'give me proof why you think that', let me say that we gave out 500+ yard signs in two days, the honks are staggering when we have a sign wave, the campaign HQ is doing OK (my gf got a call 2 days ago from RP, got a call yesterday from the phone banker offering rides and had canvassers stop by yesterday) and the energy in the air is electric even after Iowa!

Bring as many people as you can to vote. We're counting on you buddy. I know I have a ton of friends that I've turned on to Paul but, I know they won't vote unless I drag them.....

I will be dragging. Good luck to ya.

i hope this is true (switching from others to RP). My impression of the debate last night was that it hurt more than helped. It seemed to me that all that was accomplished was some romney supporters going to mccain or huck... some huck going to mccain or romney etc. Ron didn't do anything that would help draw the others into his camp but maybe I am wrong. Either way it is good to hear because the other candidates were SO disrespectful last night. It reminded me of how Al Gore was "sighing" during Bush's answers during their first debate.

You keep saying that.

Thanks for the reporting.

I can barely stand all the negativity that I see coming from people who claim to be supporters. "Get real, you know we won't win." Oh really? You know we wont?

This is just like the immigration ad. It was a great 30 second ad but for a week people only went on about 2 seconds in the video and the rest was lost.

You had 5 guys talking over 1 for a reason. It's hard to try to get a sentence out when you have to try to talk over 5 people. I'm so tired of hearing people say that the debate last night was bad just because of that question and completely forgetting the rest of the debate when he nailed questions!

I am always optimistic and I know we will do surprisingly well in NH. Thank you to all of you in NH who have put your time and money into getting Dr. Paul's name out there. You guys are great and I'm glad that you are staying very positive. It's easy for people who aren't in NH to say that they don't think things are going well but I believe you! =)

I am in NH and people are flipping out over last night's debate. They were apalled at the way the other candidates acted. I have seen several Mitt Romney supporters and Obama supporters that have switched to RP.

I saw a lot of comments like this on Facebook as the forum was going on

Really shady things went on in Iowa, and the campaign should have been prepared for the worst. It is a state where political corruption is legendary.

We got 10% in Iowa which is a 10,000 voter turnout. This is respectable, and it is within expectations from time and money invested.

HOWEVER, caucus day was a fiasco. Someone stole a database with confirmed voters, donor lists, contact #'s... EVERYTHING. There were 21,000 people who were promised they would be called that day and offered a ride if necessary. The campaign was unable to correct the problem... there was NO BACK UP. This was the difference between third and fifth.

Fred Thompson toured in a bus for two weeks before the big day. If Ron Paul had done the same, he could have taken votes from him. Most of the candidates spent NYE there but Ron Paul was "reading policy papers" in Texas. The early states demand a lot of face time with the candidates. Even McCain spent more time in Iowa than Ron Paul.

This is no excuse, but I hope the campaign learned something valuable from Iowa. It's not such a crucial state (Iowa never picks the winner) but a nice showing would have built momentum. Ron Paul has a good coordinator in NH, and the candidate himself has been there a lot. It is a state that prides itself on its role in the American Revolution. I believe they are very receptive to Ron Paul's ideas.

It's up to grassroots to make it happen, though I am not discounting NHQ's work, they need to get it together. Iowa was a disaster, but by no means indicative of Ron Paul's support. There is a potential first place win in New Hampshire.

Thank you for your report from the trenches! I thought last night was a success, too.

I dont think it hurts Ron to come across as docile because he also comes across as intelligent and respectful. He looks very presidential on stage next to the snickering, smirking, and laughing candidates 20 years his junior. When he tries to say something they cut him off and laugh at him.

I think that shows voters the other candidates for what they are and shows they lack class. I think after the shit eating grins, smirks, and arrogance people have witnessed from the current president that they are looking for someone who is more humble and respectful and brings a Presidential air back to the office rather than another person with a large ego and no class to sit in the office and make fools of us again. If these guys cant act like grown ups when debating a member of their own party they are going to look even worse debating a democrat or if they ever get in office trying to sit down and have rational foreign policy meetings with leaders of other nations.

I know I for one am voting for Paul because he seems to have well formulated ideas, doesnt waver, and sticks to his guns. I think he is the most Presidential of all the candidates on stage last night and benefitted from it.

Well said. From what I'm hearing (post-debate) this is the way the country is reacting as well. In fact, the only place I have heard people react negatively to Ron Paul's performance last night is right here- On a Ron Paul Forum!

Ron Paul did great last night, and the flippant behavior of the other candidates really made them come across as unprofessional and, even worse, mocking and laughing at a serious discussion of an unpopular War.

How many people decide how they'll vote the day before the election?

If it's a lot, then why are these people so dumb? These dumb people are not going to vote for Ron Paul. They are too dumb.

Cmon guys...
If RP got 10% in Iowa of all places you can expect he'll top that in New Hampshire.

Especially since this is a poll among Republicans, and NH is 40% Independents. In Iowa, Ron Paul beat McCain among Independents 27 to 23 points.

The ideal outcome is Ron Paul in first, John McCain second and Mitt Romney third. This is within the realm of possiblilty. Grassroots must get the voters to turn out. How about a bus that just picks up college students? All you need is a student ID to get on. We don't even care if you are a Ron Paul supporter. Chances are they are or will be.

Let's be realistic. He has a great chance at third place, which would be great.

Second or first would require either a miracle, or McCain and Romney dropping dead before Tuesday.
