RP will come in 1st in NH!!!

Let's be realistic. He has a great chance at third place, which would be great.

Second or first would require either a miracle, or McCain and Romney dropping dead before Tuesday.

If you read the rest of this thread, you will find most people aren't interested in that talk. Complacency is not the strong suit of your average Ron Paul supporter.

Besides, effective leadership means you look to pounce on opportunities. In this case, we are better served if we plan for an upset. There are arguments in this thread that make this seem plausible. If you read those and responded to them, I would be more inclined to take your two cents seriously.

Overoptimism is a danger as well. Anything less than 1st will lead to despair in some. I suspect we'll do very good, but very good is relative. McCain and Romney have 20 point leads in the polls, and no matter how much distrust you may have in polls, there's a real lead there to take into account.

We don't NEED to take 1st in NH for it to be seen as a victory. High teens would be outstanding! But even low teens solidifies our viability for the long haul, and we've more legs than other campaigns in the race.

I also spoke to some Mccain supporters that heard him say to RP that he will miss him in the Fox forum and that got them angry and it convinced them to become undecided and take a closer look at RP.

McCain had the nerve to say that! The traitorous SOB! If McCain wins NH then you KNOW the election was fixed. No American of sound mind would vote for him.

Don't get too excited people. We still have vote fraud to contend with in NH. My opinion is NH will be 'their' prime target.

Guys Paul will not get 1st in NH. period.
He will be lucky to get 4th.

Evangelicals/neocons will run the party into the ground......The Party just has not hit bottom yet...maybe 2008 will be the bottom for the party....but I really dont think until after 2012 wil the party even start to think about limited Govt. IMHO....which in Politics..means zero.

Not true. Anyone would be pleased to place, but shoot for the top.

Mitt just can't help it

Mitt just claimed at a NH townhall that he's received donations from more individuals than any other candidate. Amazing.

Mitt just can't help it. He just says whatever he thinks will get him elected and facts be damned. What's really sad is that I suspect he believes it.

Can you imagine what a race between he and Hillary would be like? Fortunately it looks like that isn't going to happen.

If Ron Paul does not win you have no one to blame but yourselves. Not rigged polls, media opposition, the Jewish conspiracy, international bankers, lizard people, the "elites" or the stupidity of the average voter. Winning first place IS POSSIBLE, but bitching on here constantly is counter-productive. There is no room for "realism" about our odds, only realism about our strategy.

I concur. Mitt vs. Hillary would be an unperfect storm, for the absolute worst voter turn out in history. People would vomit blood watching the two of them go at it in a 1v1 debate.

Do you people not realize that talking about other candidates as if they pose a real threat only builds them up? "Mitt says this" and "Huckabee says that." Ron Paul is a real contender. Of course, they will bite his style. Ignore it. Just work on getting Ron Paul's message out. It is consistent.

One of the keys to RP's success in NH will be how many supporters (including out-of-stater's who can't vote) stand outside the polls holding up Ron Paul signs; a LOT of NH folks make up their minds on the day of the election and part of their decision is made by on-the-ground supporters outside of polling places.

Does it really matter within the context of this forum? 99% for the people here are dedicated Ron Paul supporters, saying the other candidates are strong contenders is not going to cause people to "go to other other side".

I'm getting real sick of all of these candidates out-right lies and the media not challenging them and bashing them until they're dead in the water.

Fortunately I hold the belief Ron Paul will murder them all and come out attacking when the time is right.

For the love of god can someone please get me a list of republican phone numbers or even independents....

we need to organize a phone bank bomb... people there CARE about the DOLLAR.

THIS IS ONE RON's STRONGEST issues...please... we need to push this....

His answer in the debate about oil prices and the dollar and the WSJ article was amazing.

i hope this is true (switching from others to RP). My impression of the debate last night was that it hurt more than helped. It seemed to me that all that was accomplished was some romney supporters going to mccain or huck... some huck going to mccain or romney etc. Ron didn't do anything that would help draw the others into his camp but maybe I am wrong. Either way it is good to hear because the other candidates were SO disrespectful last night. It reminded me of how Al Gore was "sighing" during Bush's answers during their first debate.
Virtually all your posts have been negative. What's up with that?

i am praying and crossing my fingers that the people will make the right choice... i get sick to my stomach thinking about how ignorant and stupid the american people are
