Ron's final four minutes - he nailed it!

HOLY SHIT! Christian's booing the principle of the CHRISTIAN Just War theory?!?!?!?! Cheering war, death, torture, and censorship?!?!?! I knew there was a reason I hate and despise Christian fundamentalists.

How on earth does a room full of "Christians" boo a message of Peace and Diplomacy and cheer War and Death?

Jeesh - People claim that the Republican Party has lost its way - What aout Christianity?

Well, since Christianity lost its way when the Emperor of Rome decided what would be in the bible in the 4th century, I can't say I'm surprised. Remember he did this in order to pacify the pacifists who were increasing, bringing a threat to state power! Also remember, he himself did not become a Christian, until supposedly, he was on his death bed. Nice bedtime story for the 4th century children who could hear about their wise emperor being saved by being given the last rites... right?

Remember, this is the social club that brought you not 1, not 2, not 3, not 4, 5, 6,7 or 8, but, yes, that's right, 9!!! Crusades! The invasions of another peoples' homes that was intent on murdering women and children and bringing home the loot! All because the worshiped the SAME GOD in a different manner!

And the same social club brought you, that's right, THE SPANISH INQUISITION! Alright! Go Christianity!

But then you say, those are those EVIL Catholics! I wouldn't want to leave out our Protestant friends! That's right, the folks that brought you the slaughter of the Native American "Savages" as well as the burning at the stake of their own women in the Witch hunts of the 13th -17th century!

People that are surprised by the immorality of modern-day Christianity astound me... it's like its a new trend... hah!

I watched...was his best 4 minutes so far. I just don't understand why some idiots booing...I just can't understand.

It's not about being Christian or not, it's about a lack of knowledge. I'm sure that a lot of Christians have no idea about what the Just War theory of Christianity is. Maybe RP should have given some quotes about that.

One other candidate, after Ron said that, said when he spoke, that there was just and unjust war. This left those there, if they didn't already know about the "Just War theory of Christianity", wondering who to believe, and where this theory came from (i.e. where is it in the scriptures?).

These people are just like the general population in the sense of having been spoonfed by the MSM, and being taught that what our government is doing is necessary for our survival. They are wrong, and so are non-Christians who support the war.

Thank you for pointing out the injustices that any institution that has been around for 100's and 1000's of years will have in their history.

I am a Christian and I am contemplating switching to Catholicism. This however has nothing to do with my politics, save to frame the way I think what I think.

Go Ron Paul!

Aside from his great comments on the problems with our society the part that I thought he nailed was he gave them a bitter dose of what they needed to hear, that freedom and liberty trumps religious virtue. This isn't necessarily something that one wants to hear and it won't get you the pander vote but words like this have a better chance of making a lasting change by drilling in what is needed that no one else is saying.

He did fine. I'm saddened by the fools who booed the only Christian thing he said.

Those fools are kidding themselves if they think their Christian...Whatever happened to kind and compassion?? I am sure Jesus wud puke if he saw them lol.

Bam!!!! from L-R...My brother Peter, Ron Paul, and me.

I had to sit through 2 1/2 hours of Christian Right crap (no offense to any of you guys).

My brother and I snuck up to the front row of the debate and were screaming shit after other candidates were talking.

When Duncan Hunter was saying we couldn't leave Iraq without Victory, I screamed out, "HOW!? HOW ARE YOU GOING TO DO IT?!!! HOW?!?!"

Hunter fucking looked at me straight in the eye and gave me an I HATE YOU LOOK

Alan Keyes, the guy who ran against Obama and lost for Senator...he just announced, and in his final speech and actually the final speech of the debate...was saying that WITHOUT GOD, WE'D HAVE NO LIFE, NO HAPPINESS, NO LIBERTY...

I screamed out, first row mind you,

LIBERTY OR DEATH! LIBERTY OR DEATH!

All the people asking questions and like half the candidates looked at me. Ron was smiling. Keyes is a fucking douchebag.

After the debate, we met up with the rest of the Ron Paul supporters at a bar, and Ron stopped by...Met him again, told him what Gandhi said. I put my hand on his shoulder and said, "Dr. ..First they ignore you, then they laugh at you, then they fight you, then you win." He said, "If we keep it up we'll do very well! We've raised almost $400,000 in the past few days in the tour to San Fran, Salt Lake City, and Seattle."

Guy is the sweetest guy ever... But he's inspiring as all hell.

You ROCK! Loved that you screamed at he debate at Hunter!!!!! and no offense taken as a Christain - some are well intentioned but politically deceived......

I was there and I have to say it was great meeting him in person after the debate. He nailed it and blew every other candidate out of the water. Oh yeah and his Grandaughter is SMOKIN' hot!

Yes they have but not b/c they arent all truly belivers9although some are not) they have just gone temp. insane .....God knows this.
Because Rove et al has made them belive terrorism is a war againsty christainity with serious involvemnet with Christain leaders who woudl speak weekly with teh Pres......and b/c they are sick of the "politically correct" types and takeing it on the chin from all the liberal homosexula groups etc...saying we nee dto make anti-gay speech HATE speech - it all feeds in to that bucket - I awakened form that but its tough b/c they have politized Christianity so that Christaisn feel if they are anti-war they are now anti-christain and anti-israel - it was a brilliant plan.

You can talk them out of it b/c when teh facts are shown they realize they were given emotional arguments liek the Huckter is now famous for....

I was sitting near this lady who kept booing Ron Paul about the war. She shut up real good when Ron Paul mentioned the Just War theory. I hope Thomas Aquinas poked her with his quill or something.

I think a lot of the neo-con ValuesVoter behavior is giving a lot of bad rep to Christianity. I'm Catholic, though I don't go to church often. My grandma's sister was a nun. I see all of these events like the crusades and the "fight against islam" as real insults to the religion. Christianity as I know it is very similar to the libertarian philosophy of not forcing things on others. Christian values should spread much in the same way liberty does. A lot of the questions made things seem like some kind of battle. I hate when Christ's greatest gift of love and peace is twisted into force, hate, and struggle. It's disgusting that, when JC used his life setting everyone free, so many have been imprisoned by men twisting his legacy.

Oh, by the way, who was the guy who yelled, "TOO LATE!" when Huckabee started talking about preventing a plutocracy? I started laughing so hard; it was timed perfectly. Excellent job, whoever that was.

Great that so many of you were there to represent us! :)

That I didn't hear but it was thinking something along those lines myself: You mean we're not in one already?
