GA - Four confirmed dead in school shooting

Maybe ask your fellow Democrats/Liberals who seem to only care either pushing full citizenship to illegal aliens or they talk about "reparations" from whites to African Americans over what? slavery from 200 years ago?

Why are you bringing up reperations when that isn't the topic? And I'm not a Democrat so you're just being ridiculous. How many liberal democrats support arming teachers? Back on reaprations since you brought that up. Nazi companies Ford and GM got reprations as a reward for their treason in Wolrd War 2. Japanese Americans got reperations for internment camps that actually had some justification considering that there were Japanese civilian spies who scouted out Pearl Harbor. And yet black people who survived the Tusla massacre can't get reparations when they are still alive?. So no. Reparations aren't simply about money for slavery for people who weren't slaves. That's a red herring.

Back to the topic at hand. What is your actual plan? Do you have one? Or is this just a talking point? Are you planning on screening every potential mass shooter and locking them up ahead of time pre-crime style? Make sure they're all properly medicated? Which medicane? Some meidcations can cause some people (young men in particular) to become suicidal and/or homicidal. Hey, I know. We'll just take their guns away once the government has property screened them. Oh wait. That's going to cover a lot of vets with PTSD. Like the PTSD vet that Chris Kyle took to the gun range for "shooting therapy" only to be shot and killed by him. (That vet killed only killed two people so it wasn't a mass shooting).

Really, while making sure mental health available is a good thing in general, it's got nothing to do with stopping mass shootings unless you're willing to actually start violating the civil rights of the people that you think might do a mass shooting. No amount of counseling or thearpy or meds can guarantee that someone who really has mental health issues won't turn violent. I know. I have a sibling that works as a mental health nurse and a relative with mental health problems. People with violent mental health issues are like people with cancer. The best you can say is "They're in remission." What can stop mass shootings at the places people actually care about? Hardening tragets and shortening response times. The Uvalde shooter was given 4 hours to kill as many kids as he wanted to. The Nashville shooter was dead 7 minutes from the time the 911 call was placed. The Ulvalde shooter was able to get into a side door that had been propped open for reasons I don't know. The Nashville shooter shot her way in through the glass front doors. Simply putting shatter resistant film on the doors would have slowed her down long enough that the police might have gotten there before she made her way inside.

I know you're already in favor of this but arming adults in schools, from teachers to coaches to janitors.

When seconds count, cops are only minutes away.

Nobody said the kid is gay.

The father didn't say the kid is gay. He just says that other people called him gay. I remember middle school and guys were constantly calling each other h0m0s and f@gg0ts just for laughs. It was pretty ordinary behavior. People want to play up the gay angle to try and make the story more interesting.

How come the Sec. of Education is never on the hot seat during one of these??

Imagine any other organization that kept having their people shot up... If this was Amazon and there was a mass shooting every couple of months by a person they worked with every day, I'm sure we'd have a chat with the CEO... But the Dept of Education and with KIDS, no less!! Not a peep. Kids in your care during half of their waking hours come into your building and kill people on a fairly regular basis, but you get off scot-free??!

Imagine if the republicans had balls...

Sure, I know it's the Daily Fail, but if that quote is accurate the father said the kids said "Oh look, he's dating that guy".

Sounds pretty queeer to me.

Time will tell I suppose...if this story gets memory holed suddenly than you can be pretty sure, he was another violent weirdosexual.

You are, of course, 100% correct. But I keep running into people who reflexively think "More guns in the school equals more crime." I seriously heard someone I know say that. I had a elderly cousin who back in the 1950s when she taught high school would put her pistol on her desk every day. I have another cousin who recently retired as a principal who got the FBI civilian training and took a gun to school and hired military vets to work as janitors or cooks and secretly double as school security. And when I bring this up with members of my family who can't see the "arm the teachers" argument, they say "But that's differnt. I trust so and so." Okay. So you trust random strangers to have access to your children were, if they're really evil, they could molest them or stab them to death with a school kitchen knife, but heaven forbid they actually have a means to stop a mass shooting because you don't trust them? SMH.

Okay. Let's assume for a minute he's gay. And? He didn't shoot people because he's gay. He shot people because he was bullied. I recently posted a story of parents suing the Chelsae Alabama high school because their son committed suicide because he was buillied. The parents asked prior to the suicide to allow remote education and were denied. Someone should have at least told them that free homeschooling was an option. Anyway, being bullied seems to be a pattern in a lot of these school shootings. I was bullied at the private Christian boarding acadaemy I went to. You couldn't put a Van Halen poster on your dorm wall because "rock music is of the devil", but one kid had a KKK cartoon on the wall. I still remember it. I could probably sktech it out and that's over 30 years ago. And no that's nto all that happened but I don't feel like reliving that crap. The bullying only stopped several years later when some freshmen, the normal targets of the bullying, decided to fight back and let it be known that the would. So finally the boys dean, who had before say this as all "fun and games" made it clear that it would no longer be tollerated and just like that it stopped. Of course you can't stop everything. The bullying I experienced was physical. Kids are now deleting themselves, and others, over words. In some cases the words are posted online. I'm not sure what the answer to that is. The private academy I went to was small. Maybe 120 to 160 kids max. The boys dean could stop the physical bullying with just a word. I'm not sure what you do with the modern mini-city high schools with thousands of students jammed in them.

Physically bullied?

I was almost murdered on two occasions, in addition to getting bullied on a daily basis, at the all black high school I went to for two years until, essentially, running away from home and going to sea.

The solution, as is usually the case, is simple, but nobody has the stomach for it because it is too "harsh".

1 - Homeschooling above all.

2 - Small, segregated, by race and sex, schools for those who can not homeschool. This is to include teachers as well, especially in the male academies, where they are to be uniformed and physically fit.

3 - Treatment of weirdosexualism as the dangerous mental illness it is.

4 - Students taking SSRIs are prohibited from attending.

Lots of people get bullied for lots of reasons.

I think the difference is that the weirdosexuals are telling each other that's it's perfectly OK to go slaughter the "cis gender scum" when it happens to them.

media guilty of way too much surmising and so are we

"Oh look, he's dating that guy".
The father referred only to things people said to his son to antagonize him. If they accused him of “dating” some friend he hung out with, that’s just a variation of calling him queeer and does not mean he was actually dating a guy or was queeer. The father himself never said, “my son is gay” or “my son has a boyfriend”. (Did he? I haven’t seen those actual words anywhere.)

I’m kind of surprised that Andy Ngo was so quick to jump to this conclusion. I thought he was much more discerning. Will remember this about Andy Ngo and numerous others I had previously considered reasonably trustworthy.

Also it’s been reported that he was angry about how transgenders are treated, but then there was some reversal saying he was mad that transgenders were too accepted. Which one is it? I don't think the father ever mentioned anything about transiness either and he's in no position to correct the record about what he actually said about his son now, is he?

And by the way, if some fellow student(s) got off on antagonizing this one kid - which is a thing I think we all know can happen - who’s to say that the statements on Discord weren’t actually posted by the same person(s) and worded to appear like it was the Gray kid in an effort to further humiliate him? What’s the explanation behind the account having a phone number associated with someone other than Gray who lives in a different town? Who was that person?

Bear in mind the kid was only 13 at the time of the interview and really hadn’t had time to establish much of a sexual history one way or the other.

Sure, it’s always possible he is gay and/or trans and he wrote all those discord comments and always planned this school shooting. I just haven’t seen any facts making any of that part clear. It’s like the media is leading us along with a bunch of maybes, but no hard facts, and everybody’s falling for it - piecing together their own stories and currently certain he shot people because he’s definitely gay or trans. The fathers reported words never stated that at all.

Yeah, imagine that.

I have been tending to my MIL who has been in and out of hospital these last couple of days.

So I have been exposed to MSM much more than usual.

This story has been non stop on all cable news and network news for the last few days.

This is the point I was making when I said, factually, that there is limited or no coverage of a mass shooting if the shooter does not fit the agenda.

If it comes out for sure, that this kid was a weirdosexual, the coverage will cease like you flipped a switch.

That they do.

And who, exactly, is a "fascist"?

Why, anybody who's not a fagggot, of course.

The freshmen kids at the "Christian" school I went to who put a stop to the bullying by threatening to fight back were white so your "solution" of segregation is BS. I have a better idea. Segregate the bullies. (As in kick them out of school). Problem solved.

Hey, I’m surprised they’re not calling him a white supremacist since the 2 kids he killed were non-white. Can’t believe no one has brought it up. (The 2 teachers he killed are white.)

Anyway, the more I read about this kid’s family, the sorrier I feel for them, even the father now. What a mess!

It seems the mother is the soul-crushing psycho of this bunch - drug addict, drunk, been in jail more than once, would lock the kids out of the house at night, found passed out in the driveway with car still running and music blaring? A neighbor says child protective services was there on a regular basis - fat lot of good they did, right? At some point, the older son (Colt) went to live with the father, and the mother still takes care of his 2 younger siblings. Yikes!

I guess the father was trying to help him find things to be interested in. Buying the gun struck me as a very bad idea at first, but then, he also tried to get him to play golf. I don’t feel there’s realistically a whole lot a parent can do for a kid who’s being bullied at school, short of letting him quit school, or moving. And everyone says the kid was just quiet - not outwardly angry.

This is just sad and I find myself resenting the media for encouraging us to hate the father over this, when there was so much else going on. How many professionals (child protective services) were involved that might have intervened on the kid’s behalf - but didn’t. Instead FBI targeted them, possibly put the idea in boy’s head, and are now exploiting them both in the name of gun control.

Georgia school shooting suspect Colt Gray’s broken homelife: A mom with multiple drug arrests and a dad who gave him an AR-15 for Christmas
By Desheania Andrews, Chris Nesi and Joe Marino
Sep. 5, 2024

WINDER, Georgia — Colt Gray, the baby-face Georgia school shooting suspect who is charged with murdering two classmates and two teachers, grew up in a broken and neglectful home, which police and child services visited on a regular basis, a former neighbor and landlord tell The Post.

His mother, Marcee, 43, has a lengthy rap sheet with drug and domestic violence arrests. And his father Colin, 54, allegedly bought his troubled son an AR-15 rifle for Christmas — and now faces charges of his own for supplying the weapon used in the shooting.

Lauren Vickers, who lived next-door to the Grays in Jefferson, Georgia, said there were “problems immediately” when the Grays and their three children moved into the well-manicured neighborhood 60 miles east of Atlanta in 2022.

“There were nights where the mom would lock him and his sister out the house. And they would be banging on the back door, just screaming like ‘Mom! mom! mom!’ and crying. It was absolutely devastating,” she said.

Vickers said that sometimes the youngest child would come to her back yard asking for food.

“No clean clothes, I’m not exaggerating.”

“It was constant abuse,” she said. “It’s very, very sad.”…

…“I would find her in the driveway, passed out, with the car running and blaring music early in the morning,” Vickers said, speaking of Marcee — whom she claims habitually abused drugs and alcohol.

“She would have taken the little one to daycare or pre-K. She was driving him like that,” she said of Gray’s younger brother.

She said Colt didn’t speak much, but that she’d often see him skipping school, wandering around the woods and in the unbuilt houses at nearby developments.

Asked to characterize Colt, Vickers said, “he wasn’t a bully or a mean kid. He didn’t say much. He was so quiet,” she said, noting that he was a classmate of her daughter, Berlin...

…Now, investigators seeking to understand the suspect’s motive are looking into his family’s previous contacts with the state’s child protective services agency, the GBI director said Wednesday.

A former landlord of the Grays, who asked his name not be used, described Marcee as “a f–k up,” while crediting the father as, “trying his best to be a stand-up guy.”

“She was locking them out in inclement weather. Freezing weather,” he said, corroborating Vickers’ account.

He said he stopped by the house to speak to Colin once neighbors started complaining.

“The neighbors reported [Marcee] was driving down the street in her car, drunk, fell out the car, with the door open and the engine running. As a landlord, I can’t tolerate this kind of behavior in a neighborhood where a tenant might be putting other children at risk,” he said,.

“I spoke to the husband and asked him, ‘do you know your children are being locked out of the house?'”

The landlord said Colin told him Marcee had been battling drug and alcohol addiction and that the couple was headed for divorce.

He then reported her to Georgia Division of Family & Children Services and removed her from the lease, leaving Colin to fend for himself until he eventually moved out on his own accord.

“I think the man really went through it. I can’t imagine he didn’t seek help for these children because they had been quite traumatized,” the landlord said.

He said although he never spoke to Colt, he got the impression that he “really wanted to be with his father.”….
