Ron Paul's First Ad - as per his facebook

This video got me pumped big time. I decided to test it on my Mom. Now my Mom has been converted to a Paul voter but she is really not all that political. She does not really know uch about the Fed and other things that send us into a rage because she really does not care. She is a lifelong Republican who really only votes for Dr. Paul because of my constant lectures and because I assured her that he is not a crook like the rest. I asked her to watch the video. About halfway through she said "wow.. this is a good advertisement" and at the end she was quite shocked. Her response was "That does not look like other Ron Paul stuff you have shown me"

What a great story! I think this is just what it needs to do.... we already have the libertarian base, now we need to reach ordinary folks, and lots of them!

Now, I can't wait till they roll out the ads with Rand in them... hehe! :D

The opening credit, "Balanced Budget Productions", is a hilarious name ... apropos as well.

I am very excited to see what the actual views for this are. It won't update til it's been live for a longer time. But judging my comments, it'll be huge!

I agree with the sentiment that perhaps the debt ceiling isn't on the mind of undecided voters quite as strongly as it is on ours, but...

The production value of this ad was good and it will take that amateurish connotation away from Paul's name.

The debt ceiling is a timely issue right now. More ads like this about other topics (issues big at a specific moment and/or issues that are big in general) could really seal the deal.

Incredible ad. The campaign is serious. We're on board. We have a shot.

Wow!

This ad was perfect -- suck in the audience who cares about an important current issue, show what happens when you cave in, and then present the candidate who doesn't compromise, and who will defeat the enemy on the issue the audience cares about.

Incredible.
Pretty ingenious indeed :D

Dude, if you don't know that by now, you never will. Dr. Paul announcing that he wasn't going to run for re-election to Congress should have told us all that he was in this to win.
After letting the ad sink in I actually went back to my original post and edited that part out. I think he's in it to win it, and ads like this make me believe we got a damn good shot!!

Going to particularly effective once the republican leadership caves in and raises the debt ceiling.

The ad made it clear that the Democrats were worse than the Republicans. Sometimes R's think that RP likes Ds more than Rs. very much a D's suck, but the R's suck almost as much. The attitude was extremely tea party, or Conservative Republican. This is the key tea party issue of the moment, and Ron Paul is clearly on the tea party side. the ad says we get where you're coming from tea party, and we're with you 100%. There are some Republicans who think we should compromise and raise taxes. They like Romney.
My thoughts exact!

This ad is awesome. It will probably be obsolete by August 13, but ads like this should be running continuously on a massive screen on Ron Paul's lot outside the entrance to the straw poll.

For a so-called "faith-heavy" audience many of the candidates aren't exactly putting their names on the "pledge".

Another thing to remember is this ad is going to run in New Hampshire too. It's the largest AD buy of any candidate in the race so far. Perhaps the real message of this ad "Ron Paul making a serious bid for the White House. This is not a vanity run." and hopefully it will start filtering through to the rest of the media.

I like it, it's stuck on my mind since I watched it yesterday, it has a great edge to it. I think it bumped everything about the campaign up a notch.

Disagree with you guys.

I'm sorry, but the cost to run a one minute ad where 50 seconds is fluff and you only hear Ron's name in the last 10 seconds seems like a wasted effort to me.

This could have been so much better. They could have cut to Ron warning about these problems in the 80s and 90s and predicting this.

I'm very disappointed. Production quality is great, but the content is way off.

I mostly agree with this Ron Paul's name needs to be said much sooner

Its perfect and its brilliant. They knocked out of the park with this... I'm very pleased!

He caught on, I told ya!
