Ron Paul's First Ad - as per his facebook

Disagree with you guys.

I'm sorry, but the cost to run a one minute ad where 50 seconds is fluff and you only hear Ron's name in the last 10 seconds seems like a wasted effort to me.

This could have been so much better. They could have cut to Ron warning about these problems in the 80s and 90s and predicting this.

I'm very disappointed. Production quality is great, but the content is way off.

I've been in sales for a looong time ... and sorry, but don't agree with this at all. 1. This is not '07. Ron's got 80+% name recognition now. That battle has been largely won. 2. It's far from "fluff", this is the most important issue in politics right now and he is planting a HUGE flag, branding his message to it knowing that most of the potential activists are on our side on this one while other candidates will have to chase him on it. Best ad of the campaign season by anybody yet. Headturner that will give us a bump.

Not quite. The message is vague in the sense it's indecisive. Voters like to hear a candidate is strong and decisive, even if he's blatantly wrong.

Furthermore, the debt ceiling isn't even a significant issue with the GOP voters, believe it or not. In the bigger picture, jobs are. The economy is. Debt ceiling? They could care less.

Anyway, that's assuming they hang on through the ad long enough to make it to the final 10 seconds.

Not being mean, but where have you been in terms of watching politics? The debt ceiling is ALLLLLL that's being talked about on the MSM and Talk radio. It has become synonymous with jobs and the economy. "The message is vague in the sense it's indecisive." Indecisive? Really? He's staked out the strongest opposition to this of anybody in this ad. I just don't get it.

I would like to see it in Portland, ME. But if they only wanted to show it where it would hit pretty much only NH residents, I would definitely understand that. I get Portland, ME media myself.

I hope this ad is showing on the Boston stations and not just WMUR. WOuld be great during a Red Sox game...esp. a Red Sox/Yankee game!

this video got me pumped big time. I decided to test it on my mom. Now my mom has been converted to a paul voter but she is really not all that political. She does not really know uch about the fed and other things that send us into a rage because she really does not care. She is a lifelong republican who really only votes for dr. Paul because of my constant lectures and because i assured her that he is not a crook like the rest. I asked her to watch the video. About halfway through she said "wow.. This is a good advertisement" and at the end she was quite shocked. Her response was "that does not look like other ron paul stuff you have shown me"

bingo!

I showed this to my dad yesterday who is a Paul guy but has the mindset of a Karl Denninger. As the commercial advanced from the broken promises section to the color coded images and voice over showing Ron, my dad was like wow that's great. It was the first time in a while that I've showed him something Paul related and he actually perked up instead of being like, oh yeah..

qft. I didn't really understand the objection either but wrote it off to bad eyes.

so, when the republican leadership caves in, they will have betrayed reagan too.
clever.
attacking status quo. that has been Ron's theme.

Not only that, but it paints probably the most objective-integrity-truthful picture of the last 40 years of politics than any political ad I have ever seen.
