Ron Paul will be on Wolf Blitzer (10/17/11) - toady

Why is everyone jumping on Wolf? Dr. Paul made some comments that are going to come off as very controversial to some, especially in the GOP. Calling the Iran terrorist talk "war propaganda" (though accurate) is going make some people very angry. Wolf would be remiss if he didn't try to get Dr. Paul's statement clarified and give him a chance to walk it back if he wanted.

This was a great interview. Dr. Paul made some great points. My favorite one was @4:18, when he said the people are way ahead of the politicians, and that's why we have the Tea Party and sit-ins on Wall Street.

I really dont see what u guys are talking about. the interview was great and paul got to give his answers. You can tell wolfie respects that paul speaks his mind with his ending comment. tough questions but great answers, that looks more presidential than if he gave him superficial easy questions.

I love that connection. I can see thousands of people with puzzled looks on their faces as they reconcile the two.

Other good thing about this interview - no mention of a third-party run. Wolf must have run out of time before he got to it.

There's a clear difference between asking tough questions, and simply trying to smear a guy. Wolf doesn't want to give Paul a good interview, he is trying to load himself up with ammo to attack PAUL with at the next debate/panel discussion. This is a good interview, but only because Ron is so brilliant, and has a good answer for every question. Wolf gets no credit for this.

Bad interviewer but Ron finally got a ton of points across I rarely hear; Military donations, as president, politicians are crazy.

I dont know, I didnt see any smearing of Paul just tough questions. He is asking questions that we know democrats and neocons will ask him anyways. If anything, they would wait till the debate to unload these questions so he doesnt have time to think about how to deliver his answer. Wolf always has him on his show and sometimes he is tough and sometimes not. These are HUGE changes and I think they require tough questions if people are going to be convinced that this is the right path. every time i talke to someone about cutting departments they pretty ask me the same questions wolf did: what about all those jobs lost in cutting departmenst? If those departments are cut who is going manage some of the important things they do? how are u going to get dems and repubs to work together to pass some of this stuff? If u cut the military will this effect vets or our defense? THen neocons always ask, "what about threat of terrorism and iran." These are not smearing questions, but valid questions that other people who are not libertarian republicans ask, if u catch my drift. Answering these questions are very important when the person that is running for president is asking for BIG changes. Other candidates might not get these kind of questions because they just mostly want the same thing with a little tweak here and there. these questions are much better than asking him about school lunches lol. I can tell Paul was enjoying himself being asked these tough questions.

███ did great, I didn't like that Wolf kept interrupting him, seemed more like an attack than an interview. I haven't seen Wolf interview the other candidates, I wonder if he attacks them as well.
he did from time to time.

It was a tough interview but a FAIR interview. Ron Paul got to answer a lot of questions on the minds of neocons and he did it brilliantly. Ron Paul was very comfortable which makes me thing Wolf and him are on good terms. Ron Paul was in his studio for God sakes.

Man I could punch that guys teeth out for being such a fking ass to Ron. Attack, attack, smear and marginalize, that's all the mainstream media propaganda machine ever does.

I wished reporters and journalists would somehow fear for their life if they didn't report the facts.
Abject journalism died after Viet Nam, never again would the establishment let the people disrupt the war machine. Cuz now they just "steer" public opinion to nip disent at the bud.

As a few others have already mentioned, I did not notice any definitive smear tactics on the part of Wolf that people like Bill O'Reily, Chris Mathews, and Lawrence O'Donnell would use against Ron. Viewers deserve to know about the details of Ron's plan since much of what he is proposing is unheard of for a presidential candidate. The level of confidence and conciseness in Ron's answers was simply awesome and the interview provided him a good work out for what lies ahead of him in tomorrow night's debate.

Ron did freaking awesome in that interview. Makes me feel great about supporting him. No one else comes close to saying this stuff.

And Wolf seemed flat out frightened about the possibility that the Paul Plan would catch on and grow in popularity. He was so on edge the first few minutes of that interview just trying his hardest to attack Dr. P without being too biased.

Today was a good day.

Ron did great! He answered every question well and explained his positions well. Wolf was tough but not unfair and I didn't see it as an attack or smear. He did what a reporter should do ask the tough questions viewers will want to know the answers to. It's better for Ron to get the correct answers to these questions out there now rather than let the media speculate.
