I like all of it EXCEPT the fact it does not mention bringing all of our troops home from IRAQ immediately and starting an IMMEDIATE effort to abolish the income tax (not just a push for a constitutional amendment).

You know what? I hear Romney's got a great plan... Why dont you go check it out?

Work must begin to abolish the income tax from day one. If he proposes eliminating taxes on capital gains from day one he can propose working towards abolishing the income tax on day one.

He apparently does not think he needs an amendment to eliminate capital gains taxes!

You are incorrect. He doesn't even say bring home troops from those places, he says we shouldn't subsidize him. What he says is reduce military overseas military commitments without specifying anyplace.

Reduce Overseas Military Commitments. Our bases and troops should be on our soil.

Remember this is his economic policy, not his policy on Iraq.

I don't want a new amendment to the constitution I just want the income tax abolished. It would be a multi-year war to get an amendment like that passed. What I want to hear is that he will strive to abolish the income tax from day one.

Dude, you DO realize that the only way to remove an existing Amendment is to pass a new Amendment that repeals it, don't you?

Besides, the IRS could be eliminated without repealing the 16th Amendment. It didn't create the IRS. It allegedly authorized the taxation that the IRS was created to administer.

Then this is economic stimulus package is even worse than I thought. The best way to boost the economy is to bring all of our troops home immediately from around the world and give the money saved back to the people in the form of abolishing the income tax.

Awesome plan! I was just thinking about what could be done to strengthen the economy, and a some of this was what I came up with! The even greater thing about it is that is is good for SENIORS and POOR and MIDDLE CLASS, who if aren't able to benefit more from the economy with a plan like this, will hurt and fall into poverty with the way the economy is going!

Dude, the only way to repeal the 16th, is to pass another ammendment repealing and replacing it.

A president alone can not do that.

You cant veto an ammendment.
