Ron Paul on Meet the Press (12/11/11)

wtf did he EVER ask Ron Paul a question that did not involve another candidate?

Paul would have been better off had he just ruled out third party months ago. It's coming up every interview now.

I thought interview was good though.

Good. The Republican Party needs to understand that their choices are to nominate Paul or have their 2012 chances destroyed.

I don't think so. He could stop this by saying something like... there is a decent chance I will win Iowa and you are asking me about a 3rd party? Really?

Paul needs to learn how to control the interview much better, in my opinion. I agree with bluesc.

it's too late at this point. Now it will just look like he's saying it without any meaning but stopping the quesitons

Because he may go independent.

exactly, ron paul is playing this right. If he closes the 3rd party door. Then ron paul will not be the gop nominee. The only way ron can win the gop nomination is to keep the 3rd party door cracked. If that 3rd party door is shut by ron paul. Then Ron Paul will not be the gop nominee! Ron Paul saying he will not run 3rd party . Is like the US government destroying all their nukes and then having no ammo to win a war. When the gop establishment still has their nukes!

Okay, so the interview questions weren't good.

But major props for ending the program with the fact that Dr. Paul is by far the most popular candidate on Twitter.

They didn't have to include that. And they did, casting Ron in a very positive light in the process!! That's what people will remember.

p.s. Gov of Iowa likes Ron, but not his foreign policy. We have to stop this nonsense from becoming a mantra.

if you want ron paul to lose the gop nomination. Then have him shutdown a 3rd party run 100% and the gop establishment/status quo will 100% shut ron paul out from winning the gop nomination. This is war in the gop and it will be foolish to have ron paul disarm his nuke!

GOP can nominate Paul or they can prepare for their libertarian spanking for all the bad things they've done over Ron Paul's career.

Iowa's governor is on MSNBC right now and giving a shout out to Ron Paul. He says the economy is the number one issue in Iowa. He said Ron Paul had the guts to put forth an economic plan to do what is needed. (I am paraphrasing, of course)

He says it is still a wide open race. That the front-runner has changed many times and can again. That many people have still not made up their mind. People are looking for the strongest and best candidate who can beat Obama.

David Gregory, what an asshole. He tried to question Ron like he was some pundit, not a front runner. Show some respect.

Ron turned all the questions and did really well. He's learned how to turn these crap interviews and make the interviewer look bad.

wutwutwut

What's with Iowa politicians giving shout outs to Ron lately? Is it outside of the realm of possibility that they will endorse Ron considering he is the one with the power in Iowa?

I have no idea how Ron made it through that awful interview with a huge smile on his face. Such a good man.
