A lot of us, me included, have criticized Dr. Paul for his lack of quick reactions and buzzword moments in debates.

but, man oh man, did he crush Gingrich.

The single best moment in Ron Paul's debating career.

"I was married and had two kids, and I went"

Best line I've heard in a long, long time. Gingrich had nothing with which he could respond. Came off as making excuses going "I wasn't eligible" just as the audience erupted in applause for Ron. As if somehow he wasn't eligible when Ron had one more child than he did at the time.

Yeah and we need it. Being realistic I don't see us winning South Carolina, but we have to be in the top three. Pulling down Newt is our best chance, even if his votes go mostly to Santorum. We really don't need to finish in fourth in SC. Hopefully, Newt's lack of money, a second place finish for us in NH and fourth for Newt, rising Santorum, and attack ads will drive him down and us up.

Another great comment was when he was answering the 3rd party question, and how he was catching up to Mitt. But his reply to Newt takes the cake.

the crowd did not clap for any person on the stage the whole night prior to that moment (wonder why myself)
it was the first clapping for any candidates, therefore even though the clapping wasn't as loud as the ones later on
it was very significant, because it actually motivate people from breaking the rules of not clapping to clapping
