Ron Paul coming back to Maine

the reason paul has been in TX is he feels it gives him the best chance to win. I hope it pays off tomorrow.

Paul will appear at three caucus sites on Saturday. He is scheduled to appear at 8 a.m. in Sanford, at 10 a.m. in Lewiston and at 12:30 p.m. in New Gloucester.

Romney was scheduled to visit Portland for an event late Friday. His campaign announced early Friday afternoon that Romney also would appear at caucus sites at 8:50 a.m. in Sanford and at 10:15 a.m. in Portland.

Sanford Showdown!?

No Portland caucus stops for Paul. Isn't that where most of the remain votes are?

WTF? Best chance to win what? The 14th Congressional District of TX? If we can't do well there we might as well quit. But, there may be a tiny bit more of a challenge in ...ummm... let's see ...40 OTHER F$%KING STATES!!

I can't stand Frothy, but I'll will give him his cred on one thing. He's kicking our butts with retail politics in some of these caucus states. He spent 19 days in Iowa in the last month before the vote. 22 days in MN, MO, and CO. Conversely, our campaign went home part of the week of Iowa and you could ptrobably cont on one hand the number of days spent campaigning in the latest caucus states.

I'm not here trying to bring everybody down, but, like many others on here, I've spent thousand of dollars and hours since '07 helping the campaign and have been involved in the greater libertarian movement for these causes since the late 80's.

We can't realistically expect to go up against the entire establishment, fly up to some state, spend a day or two having a couple of rallies, and then have Ron hanging out in Lake Jackson, TX the whole week before the vote in some place like Maine.

And if we lose by a thin margin tomorrow, it'll only be further cemented. The campaign needs a kick in the arse from somewhere but either way, I've bet on my horse and I'm riding it to the finish line!

There are some folks on here that have been smoking something in terms of the progress in Maine. 436 total votes or less than 10% of the total votes that will be counted have been cast. Romney won Southern Maine BIG last time. He got 918 votes in just Cumberland County in '08. We get a few votes and eveybody thinks we've got it in the bag and Romney is terrified. Bullshit.

We're just pouring Gatorade on the coach before halftime while the other team is running down the field toward the end zone with the ball.

Meanwhile, the game is in Maine and our QB is in TX?

Here's the scoop.

The Portland caucus is only for Portland.

South Portland has a different caucus. Other towns in Cumberland County have different caucuses.

However, the Androscoggin County Caucus is for the entirely of Androscoggin County, which contains Lewiston. There are more people in Andro County than Portland City.

In 2008, there were 250-300 votes in Andro County.

In 2008, there were less than 200 votes in Portland City.

And I'm sure they used the timing of the caucus' in their consideration so they could visit three sites while Romney is only doing 2 site.

Our campaign was non-existent? Really? The campaign organization doesn't change magically when the candidate shows up, we have the same interns, managers, and boots on the ground.

I disagree with the decision of the candidate not to go to ME immediately after MN, too. But this is ridiculous. If people won't turn out to vote because they didn't get to do a secret handshake with the candidate, what are we even trying to do here?

This is about OUR involvement. It is OUR job to take this country back!

Where did you get the 436 number?

I think you're way wrong.

I'm in Knox. Knox is done. I don't have the count, but in 2008, there were around 300 votes just in Knox. Lincoln is done. in 2008, Lincoln had around 250. The 2nd largest city, Bangor, is done, and almost all of that county is done. About 140 votes in Bangor in 2008. Kennebec, where Augusta is, is almost all done, Augusta is done.

In all unbiased objectiveness, people here need to prepare for BIG Romney numbers out of York and Cumberland. This part of New England, as I've alluded to before, is in its Republicanism about as vanilla as it gets. This is where the Bushes live, for crying out loud; it is in some respects a MIC-centric, patrician area where RINO politics do well (think of southern NH or Lakes Region NH, where Mitt's summer house is, as a fair comparison).

He will be in Lewiston which is SUPER CAUCUS. There are several towns that will be at that one, including the sister city of Auburn.

It is frustrating to say the least. I am in it until the end but the glaring mistakes in the Campaign makes me wonder how those running the campaign can be so blind to what should be obvious. Maybe they know something we do not so I will hang in until the end. Ron Paul's foreign policy should be explained over and over until the average voter understands it. Also, Ron should make the point over and over that a vote for any one of the other three candidates is a vote for a new war with Iran. Neither of the other candidates have explained where they plan to get the money to pay for that war. The choices are limited to borrowing from China, printing money out of thin air, and cutting entitlement programs like SS, Medicare, food stamps, etc. What is so hard about attacking the obvious? If my assesment is right then they need to get their s--- together before we lose this election. Can someone relay this message to those running the campaign? They take forever to respond to my emails -- the campaign will be over before they respond to this observation.
